I'd like to recommend that each landing page performance summary include the CTAs on the page, so an analys of the page canb be done with thta report. Having the CTA report in a different place is challanging, as one landing page may have several CTAs, and I'd like to know which ones are working when I can reviewing that page. We have used CTA legacy for years. We have depended upon the easy and quick export data function (gray box) to export a spreadsheet with basic data of the legacy CTAs: name of CTA, views, clicks etc... We have depended upon this function to easily track and report 1000s of our CTAs, which is a lot of tracking.   You are now rolling out brand-new CTAs, but it doesn't have an easy data export. It seems like a pretty basic function that people who are using and tracking CTAs would want. We definitely do! The reports that we've tried to develop to replicate don't even show the name of the CTA, just a number associated with it. In addition, those reports separate views and clicks so that they can't even be on the same report.   Currently, (if legacy CTAs were taken away) we'd have to go line by line manually copying numbers straight from within the hubspot dashboard CTA page instead of a simple report or export of our CTAs. Taking away the data export functionality and not having any simple report that can replicate the data will result in less efficiency and adding substantial labor hours to customers who track and report on many CTAs. We literally just need name of CTA, Views, Clicks - those are the most basic analytics of CTAs.   Please please provide something that easily exports the data, preferably into spreadsheet form. Hi guys! I think it would be great to allow add some custom JS or CSS to new CTA`s, so users can manage how button will look on different screen sizes, or add some additional logic. Our team is trying to leverage the new CTA function of Hubspot, however as a Creative Director (sitting on the marketing team) I'd love to see some options for changing the way the CTAs appear/animate in.   The current CTA options can largely be bucketed into two categories: slide in (on bottom right, bottom left, etc) and pop-up (fades into middle/middle of window). I'd like to have the option to twak the animation to: Adjust/ remove the bounce the the CTA animation Select the animation type (slide in, fade in, appear) no matter what kind of CTA I chose. The heavy 'bounce' effect of the current slide in option feels clunky for our website. I'd prefer to have a CTA in the bottom right that fades in over a specific amount of seconds so it matches more closely with our site.   This would bring value for many teams who want the logic of hubpsot to be better integrated into the UI/UX of their site. ...read more

The meeting booking tools are one of the most powerful ways to enable our sales team to schedule meetings with leads and clients easily.    The booking tool enables two essential points of contact: Leads that we're engaging in nurture tracks, where the booking tool serves as a CTA to get in touch with sales. Leads that are not in the system yet, but would like to book a meeting directly on our website.  Currently, the booking tool offers very little flexibility when it comes to physical appearance. This hinders adoption through embedding since it does not align with our brand.    As a suggestion, we'd like to be able to customize our meeting booking tool much in the fashion of the forms feature: Setting the background color, Set button colors and fonts, Adjust fonts Since the form is very much run through the HubSpot branding, it does not deliver the most powerful branded experience it could deliver. Currently the new CTA beta feature has been great for a new info popup my client needs on their third party website. The ability to configure it to show after time delays on certain pages has gotten us 90% of the way to our goal, but the ability to better control via code when the button trigger (using classes on HTML elements) would mean we could go even further.   Who -  This idea is primarily for software engineers/developers who will integrate third party apps/websites with hubspot, but depending on the execution could also be used by less-technical staff who are configuring the way CTA's work.   What -  The goal is to gain more control over how and when CTA's are triggered, either programatically or by having additional options on the hubspot side.   Value -  The new CTA's are already a great value to the way our external website interacts with hubspot, this idea would further that by giving us more fine-grained control, allowing our current CTA's to be more accessible and meaning we can use CTA's for more things in the future   Examples -  We currently would like to pop up an info modal for customers when a form element is clicked on. Currently, we can set this trigger up which does work and show the desired CTA when clicked. However, there's no simple way to remove the trigger, so that it only happens once during the form interaction.  The basic flow is -  User clicks on a form field CTA pops up User edits form field We remove the CTA classes (e.g.hs-cta-trigger-button hs-cta-trigger-button-1111111111111) User returns to form field to edit/update CTA still shows, as there was a trigger we now don't control on the HTML element. We're building the website in React and while there are definitely hacks/workarounds that we could perform to get through it, I think in general having more control in the future to add/remove/manipulate triggers would make CTA's even more powerful.  EDIT -  As someone pointed out below, it is technically possible to control the HTML button component via elements and scripting, however what this Idea is specifically about is controlling the effects of the CTA button, for example being able to add/remove triggers to elements, not just manipulating existing elements that use the CTA trigger. ...read more

Is it possible to add an "open all links in new tab" function for blogs? As of now, the default is to have the links open in the same window — if you want a link to open in a new tab, you must manually select each individual link to change the default setting.   For research-heavy blogs, on average we spend an hour per blog solely on clicking on each external link to open in a new tab. As users, since this function is already provided, it would be more efficient to have the option to apply this to an entire body of text.   For our team, this would save us a ton of time. If we could apply this to the entire body to begin with, we could get it done in less than 10 minutes.    Here, you can find a previous HubSpot forum with a similar idea — other people have continuously been experiencing this same issue since 2017. And in terms of SEO, if you’re opening external links in the same tab as your site, this affects both you and your users.    The optimal user experience would be for the external link to open in a new tab, and for the blog reader to continue reading the post, going back to the other tab later. Otherwise, once the reader leaves your website, they likely won’t make it back.    In fact, this HubSpot blog states “opening a link in a new browser window, as opposed to the window they are currently in (your website) makes it less likely that a user will permanently abandon your website for the one you linked to.”    All companies are different. Optimal experiences are different. Workflows are different. We should have the option to decide what works best for us and our clients while having the tools to make our workflow easier.    If we can change link behavior on CTAs manually, why not allow a default setting? ...read more
