My idea is to grant users the ability to set-up "structured data" on blog posts to help with SEO.   Structured data is a system of pairing a name with a value that helps search engines categorize and index your content. Currently, whatever the page or blog post title is, the title tag <title> is the same. This is extremely limiting. A great strategy I use to increase CTR is to use different words and even brackets. However, I don't want these in my post title. Instead, I would like to be able to have a longer, more explanatory title on the site.    When a person arrives on a blog post, it is important to have the title to explain what they are getting. However, you can't always do that in 600 pixels Arial font 16px, which is what Google use for title in the listing. A succesful strategy that I have been using for a few years now is using bracket and other simples to increase CTR and having the title longer. Having a longer title also helps you to incorporate a secondary keyword phrase, which is another successful SEO strategy I use.  With the use of Yoast plugin, WordPress sites have had this ability for almost ever, but HubSpot's CRM pigeon holes you into only having a title that fits in Google's search titles.  ...read more

I am currently in the process of moving about 50+ blogs from 'Blog Location 1' to 'Blog Location 2' within our HubSpot Blog portal.    Currently (after chatting with awesome HS Support team member Catherine), there is no way to move ALL or even multiple blogs to a different blog location within HubSpot. The only way to do so is to go into each. individual. blog post. and 'Edit', then move the blog location.   With this many blogs, this will take forever. It would be awesome, in the future, to be able to select all blogs and have a drop-down option to 'Move Blog Location' and be able to choose 'Blog Location 2' for a quick and time-efficient alternative to this task!   Thanks for hearing me out, hoping this transpires one day 🙂 -Andi P. ...read more

Currently, when you view the 'content detail' page on a website or blog page, the page metrics and table don't have the option to display CTA data (CTA views, CTA clicks, CTA rate). Instead, it only shows form submissions and contacts, which aren't relevant to blog pages in particular.    It would be extremely helpful for all marketers to be able to see how your CTAs are performing on an individual page level, without having to go through analytics tools and seeing a full list of all pages.    Page metrics showing no CTA data: Metrics available in the table: Thanks! ...read more

Please add the ability to add custom modules as tokens in the RSS email. We have a custom module that is setup on our blog that hosts the text that we would prefer to have as the text in the RSS email and have no way to support this currently without creating a manual email vs an RSS ...read more

PLEASE give us the option to re-send blog notification emails for updated/republished posts. We've been blogging for over 8 years, so much of our content strategy is updating and re-publishing (in many cases this is a significant rewrite) of existing articles. Currently the automated Blog Subscriber Notification Emails and social notifications won't consistently go out for these updated articles, even if we Unpublish the article, make changes, and reschedule for a future publish date. HubSpot support has told multiple members of our agency team that these notifications won't go out since the post was previously published. However, we've found that not to be true (they go out sometimes; sometimes not), which further complicates the issue. We have to wait 15 min after every blog we publish to see if the notification goes out and manually schedule an email and social posts if it didn't. This is SUPER frustrating.   Please just give us an option when we hit publish that's a Yes/No to "Do you want to resend notification email and social notifications?" The current inconsistencies introduce SO MUCH RISK for us and our clients to look bad and miss out on lead conversions.  ...read more

There has been a lot of chatter regarding using reporting services like SEMRush and Moz which will give you site audits. Usually, these reports give back information such as errors and issues One of the major errors I've seen reported on a lot of HubSpot sites are the Duplication errors for things such as:   Duplicate content: This is usually caused by the /page/1 not being properly redirected from the start. You have to create three directs total to fix that. Another cause for duplicate content is that listing pages do not have the ability to have a self-referencing canonical (which is fixed with some quick HubL in the blog template header). Duplicate Titles: Caused by all the paginated pages showing the same title. Duplicate Meta Descriptions: Same cause as above The first bullet, as mentioned, can be fixed with using URL mapping tool and HubL, the last two, however, we have zero control over. I know we can use JS to change the titles and meta's for the listing and Google's searching should be ok with checking those differences on the page. This can be tedious to do and a much better way would be to allow us to have a "Page Title Builder" in the SEO & Crawlers Tab. This can let us fi page titles and have them render server side rather than relying on JS to fix things and hoping they will be picked up during the next Google crawl.      I have created a mockup below for this (based on Yoast's SEO WP Plugin) to better explain a possible solution:     Also, I think it would be awesome to have Description fields added to the blog topic's so we can create custom Meta Descriptions based on those topics and not have to rely on just the default blog meta description or one that Google pulls automatically (which is usually the post excerpt of the most recent post for that page).  ...read more

Hi all,   in this moment we are trying to make some changes to our blog post template so we have created a new template to test.  The problem is that the only way to test our new blog post template is to apply it to all the articles published on our blog.    I think that it will be very useful to have the possibility to change the template on a single blog post as it is for Landing Pages.    Thanks for your help ...read more

Customers who know the product could be involved more by adding a chance for them to browse existing feature requests, upvote them and comment them just like in this Ideas blog. Making it available as a community tool would be great, e.g. as a template for pages allowing to link feature requests with user contact and company contact. Other idea would be to just add it as a whole new service hub feature or even an individual "feature hub". The value should be obvious: You hubspot guys could add it as a paid feature, while clients could improve their customer involvement and help to narrow product and service development.
