In reports, HubSpot incorrectly defines the fiscal year setting based on the START date rather than the END date.
Our fiscal year is July 1 to June 30. Reports that include something in October 2021 and March 2022 are wrongly included in the FY 2021 label, when they should be labeled as FY 2022.
I don't know why HubSpot would choose to name the fiscal year on the date the FYstarts, given that theaccepted definition of a fiscal year is based on the end date.
Once again, thanks so much for alerting us to this issue. I'm happy to report that fiscal year reporting has been corrected to follow the end year vs the start year, so you'll be able to get the full benefit of using this custom setting.
Thank you for sharing this valuable feedback, Sperry! You are correct—the custom report builder is going off the starting year vs the ending year, which is incorrect for fiscal year reporting. I am actively working with our team to correct this behavior and will update this post as soon as this fix is implemented.
