Workflows to send emails based on contact type

We tried to use a deal/ ticket based workflow to send an email to two contacts. We wanted to send one email to one contact based on their 'contact type'. And a completely different email to another contact based on their different 'contact type.' One would think that the if/then branch allows you to say if this 'contact type' then send this email 1. And then if this other 'contact type' send this email 2. That's how the workflow reads. But it's not how it functions.

Is Contact Type a custom property you have created? Are you able to provide more context?

If both emails are saved for automation then you should be able to use the if/then logic branch to choose which type receives which email. Are there only 2 types?
