It would be nice to have an undo button in Workflows, similar to emails. Sometimes we will edit a workflow and then quickly decide we want to revert back to the original creation. It's hard to remember what has to be changed back, especially for more complex workflows.
Today we went to public beta with the ability to undo and redo most changes made on the workflows canvas during the last 30 days!
The undo/redo option will not work for workflows that have extension actions or custom code actions, and doesn't support changes for moving or cloning of actions.
To opt-in to the public beta, Click to the drop down next to your name in the top right corner of your HubSpot Portal > Select Product Updates > Select Betas > Find "[Public Beta] Undo or Redo Changes on the Workflows Canvas" > click the Join Beta button.
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or feeback!
This week we added undo/redo buttons on the workflows canvas, to undo and redo most changes made on the workflows canvas during the last 30 days. Undo/redo won't work for workflows that have extension actions or custom code actions.
To use this new feature:
Go to theEdit Workflow Canvasto build a new or edit an existing workflow.
See thetwo new buttonson the top left of the editor toundo and redo workflow actions.
@JHartnagle would this also undo actions in the workflows such as properties being set? My understanding is just the workflow structure, but let me know if we'll be getting a revert option for results of incorrect actions/enrollment triggers saved. I know the alternative solution is to export and then import with the previous value, but an option to revert a property to previous history based on a workflow action would be great!
JHartnaglewill we be getting a revert button/option if a workflow incorrectly sets property values?
I certainly appreciate the "undo" options for changes to the workflow actions, but one for the outcomes of certain actions would be great!
Right now the solution is for customers to export property history (but this exports ALL records, whereas exporting records can isolate the ones you want to change better but don't show the previous value). Then they import the previous value (such as owner).
My goal is to reduce friction when properties are set incorrectly by workflows to revert that data. That is one of the most common support tickets, so this would be a one to many solve for these sorts of issues. Definitely #1 on my wish list!
