Workflow Action: Having the ability to set if/then branch based off Current Time

Currently, within workflow, users aren't able to create an "if/then branch" where it would check the current time and if the time is between 8AM-5PM GTM+8 then rotate deal owner among Team A. if the time is between 5PM-8AM, then rotate deal owner among Team B.

Use Case:

Customers have 2 sales team. Local Team and International Team. The workflow would be assigning deals based off the current team. For example, if the current time is 10AM GMT+8, then the deal will be rotated to be owned by Local Team. Whereas, if the current time is 11PM GMT+8, the deal will be rotated to be owned by International Team.

It would be beneficial if there is an additional feature to set if/then branch based off the current time in the portal.

This idea is incredibly diverse. It would allow if then functions based on current time & day of week would allow for a broad range of functions could be appropriatley timed!

Fully support this idea. For now, there are 2 options to assign contacts to new conversations:

1. Randomly per each team member.

2. Based on the lowest count of owned contacts per user rotation.

For sales purposes, it would really help to assign contact owners by their shifts.

Yes 100%,

we have tried doing it by IP and other methods but really this needs to be rolled out.

My company needs this capability too, so that I can delay Salesforce tasks getting created over the weekend for multiple global territories. We don't want tasks getting created over the weekend, because we have Salesforce tracking how quickly the reps complete the tasks, and they don't want the weekends to count against them. It is Saturday in Australia when its Friday in North America so the delay has to be based on the country. I figured out how to delay the task creation until a certain date and time for each continent, but that delay step will also prevent weekday notices and tasks from coming in until the next business day too. We need to have an if/then branch based on current time after it checks the country, so that we can have a weekday branch to create the task asap and the weekend branch that would have the delay until the following business day.

As of 11/16/23, tech support has confirmed that the only way to do this is with separate workflows for each continent, and then base the whole workflow execution at a specific time under the settings and notices tab at the top > what time do you want actions to executive > specific time. An issue with that idea is that the person submitting the form won't get the thank you for submitting autoresponder right away, when we are fresh in their mind. The other issue is that our 10 inbound workflows now turn into 30 inbound workflows if we have to separate each one for every continent we sell to. Come on Hubspot. This seems like 101 stuff and this idea has been pending for 3 years. You already have the if/then branch capability, you already have delay steps based on specific days and times, and you already have a way to tell what the current time is. What is the hold up?
