When creating contacts with no email, use "Name" properties to search for duplicates

It would be great if when creating a contact without an email address property, to indicate the already existing contacts have a similar name. Goal: avoid duplicate contacts!
I've been in contact with our Product team about this Idea. At this time, we have no immediate plans to build it.
We understand how powerful our deduplication functionality has been and that customers would like to leverage it in other places in the app. We're still investigating more places in the app to expose deduplication behavior, but at this time this is not something we have immediate plans to work on.
