Who? For the marketing (or whoever is in charge of the website)
Goal? Be alerted in real-time of an outage to the website so you can alert your customer base.
Value? Being in front of any service disruptions before a customer asks you. We had two customers/friends alert us they couldn't access the site. Would have been better to get ahead of that.
Examples: When the website goes down a text alert/email gets sent to Hubspot User to let them know so they can announce to customers in the platform and on twitter about the temporary outage.
Suggestion - Have email alerts sent out to account admins or the technical contact listed on the account if there are major incidents like this in the future.
Benefit - This would help with our internal resiliency, as alerts could go to more people like our incident response team, rather than just regular HubSpot users logging into the portal. Could also limit confusion on social media, as users were asking on LinkedIn and X if HubSpot was down.
