When navigating between associated objects, our users often get confused about what type of record they are working with and look for properties or options that are not available on that record type, e.g. a user navigates from Contact to Company record, searches for Buying role and abandons task or raises support ticket because they can't find it.
In an ideal world, users would scroll up to see the subtle cues where the record type is indicated, but sales people in particular move fast and this often does not happen before frustration sets in. Because we have instances where a Company name might be the same as one of the Contacts associated (owners often like to name things after themselves), it's not always patently obvious.
Impact:
high volume of "avoidable" support requests to CRM team
user frustration which leads to adoption rate drop-off and/or lower productivity
Request:
Visual indicators (preferably color-based) to help users signpost what type of record they're viewing. Extra points if we could customize this with an additional icon/pattern/color based on key property values like Lead Status and Relationship Type.
