View Personalization in Sent Emails

Hi 👋

 

First off, we're loving HubSpot. It's making things in our business much easier. 

 

And, we've got an idea for how to make it better.

 

Our team noticed that we're unable to view personalization tokens in sent emails (more backstory below). We can see the tokens when we draft the email, and the fields all merge correctly—however, after we've sent the email we can no longer see what fields we used in an email. 

We're able to use the "send test email" to reconstruct it based on customer info, but it's a lot of work. We're accustomed to Ontraport showing us the merge fields even after we've sent the email. We feel like this should be a feature you offer too.

After sending a mass email, another person in the company may check the Email Preview to see the content of the email, but what happens is that this person is unsure whether the text was a personalisation token or not. And ends up checking with the email creator.

Those who look at the Email Preview after it's been sent, it is currently very difficult to determine if a personalisation token was included.

We would like the Email Preview to show which exact part was personalisation token by (for example) changing the text colour or something.

 

(*If a personalisation token has default value, the Email Preview shows default value.)
