I would like to be able to use a form submission to auto-generate a quote. It's currently possible to use a workflow to create a deal, but I'd like to be able to go a step further and have the workflow create a deal and quote simultaneously.
Hey folks - Ethan here, product manager for the Product Library and Quotes. Apologies for the missed quarter of updates. I want to let you know that this featureis noton our roadmap for this quarter (Q3, 2022). But, it's still top of mind for us. We've done a the foundational groundwork to make it possible (i.e. you can now create Quotes safely using the API). But, we need to prioritize adding it into Workflows as a separate project. I'll update this thread again in October (i.e. Q4) to let you know where things stand.
As a sidenote, I'll be updating the top Ideas associated with Products and Line Items ~once per quarter going forward. I will include (1) whether or not a feature is on the roadmap for that quarter or not and (2) what our rollout plan for that feature is (e.g. will there be a beta or not). If you have feedback about additional information I could include in these updates, drop a note here. If I see a theme, I'll adjust my updates to address that.
I won't be doing this for everyidea, but most ideas above 100 kudos will get this treatment. Previously, I had been trying to do it for ideas greater than 25 upvotes, but unfortunately the volume is too high to be practical.

Since @hubspot is ignoring us, I've found a workaround for this.
1. Download and connect Zapier to your HubSpot account.
2. Download and install Pandadoc.
3. Create a Zap that triggers when you need it to (for me it's on a form submission) to send a quote
I've just started working on an automation project and the proof of concept works, I still need to refine it but it's going to work for me. As a side note, the e-signature on Pandadoc is much better than the native HubSpot quotes too!
The frustrating thing with quote creation via the API is that you are unable to create quotes with esign enable so it makes it pretty pointless as you would have to manually click into each quote and work through each page and add esign. If we could add esign via API we would have implemented custom code some time ago and would have seen hige time savings. Really hopeful this can be resolved soon.
Yes, you can do this with custom code, but not all customers will pay extra for the functionality via Ops Hub Pro. HubSpot promised an update to this in Oct '22, so I'm hoping there is one a year later.
This enhancement should not require Ops Hub Pro or custom development. There should not be such a disconnect between deal information and quoting. Other similar software has quoting embedded. The bigger disappointment is so many Hubspot customers need the enhancement, yet there has been few updates or addressing what has been asked for except needing custom dev and raising subscription level.
Hey everyone, I actually work for an invoicing software company that allows you to do this sort of thing. It’s called Paycove, and it integrates with HubSpot. You can use it to create custom workflows and generate, send, and manage quotes/invoices. It also integrates with accounting software like Xero, and the payment gateway Stripe.
So its purpose is to essentially interconnect all the pieces of managing your business online: the CRM, the accounting software, and the payment component. It can automate quite a bit and make things easier and more streamlined for you.

@ethankopit how is this feature coming along... is it available yet and do you still need an answer to the question you asked in this thread? Hopefully it would get associated to the deal that is auto-generated in the workflow and then emailed to the contact that is enrolled in the workflow.
This would be an amazing feature to implement. We are headed to a tradeshow in May and have a workflow to build a deal according to a request for quote submission, but no way to build a quote automatically. It would be great to finish the loop by creating the quote after the deal is created and then sending an email with a link to the quote to the contact who submitted the form.
@WPost This seems to be what I've found the norm to be with most "oh is this a HubSpot thing?". Most of the time I end up finding a community thread with a hundred replies but never a "OK guys, it's done!" from HubSpot.
I don't see the ability to auto-create invoices/quotes from a deal, so I'm moving the payment collection process out of HubSpot via Zapier and Stripe. I'll use a HS Deal, DocuSign, Stripe and Zapier to push a deal along our process, get a contract signed in DS, have Zapier watch for the completed envelope, then send Stripe payment link, then bring it back in and push the deal to the next step.
