I would like to be able to use a form submission to auto-generate a quote. It's currently possible to use a workflow to create a deal, but I'd like to be able to go a step further and have the workflow create a deal and quote simultaneously.
Hey folks - Ethan here, product manager for the Product Library and Quotes. Apologies for the missed quarter of updates. I want to let you know that this featureis noton our roadmap for this quarter (Q3, 2022). But, it's still top of mind for us. We've done a the foundational groundwork to make it possible (i.e. you can now create Quotes safely using the API). But, we need to prioritize adding it into Workflows as a separate project. I'll update this thread again in October (i.e. Q4) to let you know where things stand.
As a sidenote, I'll be updating the top Ideas associated with Products and Line Items ~once per quarter going forward. I will include (1) whether or not a feature is on the roadmap for that quarter or not and (2) what our rollout plan for that feature is (e.g. will there be a beta or not). If you have feedback about additional information I could include in these updates, drop a note here. If I see a theme, I'll adjust my updates to address that.
I won't be doing this for everyidea, but most ideas above 100 kudos will get this treatment. Previously, I had been trying to do it for ideas greater than 25 upvotes, but unfortunately the volume is too high to be practical.
Hey folks - my name is Ethan and I'm the Product Manager for Quotes. We're currently exploring this feature. I can't make any promises about it's delivery timeline, but it's on my radar.
If this is done through the expansion of HubSpot Payments or through the automation of Deal Records > Quotes, we need a way for Customers to have a way to pay their service based invoices through our website. Please consider.
I would like the quote automatically sent via email to a designated company contact with a specific label. The workflow should stop until the quote is signed / accepted.
We are about to potentially invest some money outsourcing this to a HubSpot partner - likely via a custom coded action. Can i just check if you have any updates on this? I think the community would like to know more so we can plan projects and priorities. Having it set to 'In planning' but seeing no real update in 2-3 years is a bit misleading. Is this likely to come in the next year or so? Or has it been benched for something else?
Our potential customers often require a quote so they can get admin approval before they can purchase from us, so we're trying to build an option for them to generate their own quote on our website to speed that process along. Adding a Create Quote step to a workflow would be a huge help!
We would like an update on this as well. As sales and our sales team grows the importance to be able to automate a quote from information entered into a deal is huge for us. Having to duplicate data entry in quotes that already exists in a deal is a huge disconnect in the product.
Seriously, this is a "must-have... There's no reason to go through that workflow a million times to do the same thing when you have the same copy, products, pre-set amounts, and process backing it. It makes using this tool more of a hassle than it's worth for highly uniform and/or repeatable processes.
Also, @hubspot, we need the ability to build out quotes that also function as contracts that have a structure of definitions, agreement terms, and all other sections of an agreement that can be conditional, hidden, added, or swapped out that allow auto-fills in text and/or object or field injections that auto-fill with the value tied to the deal or contact.
It's also important to be able to not have to apply product listings to the pricing and that custom pricing pulled from the "Amount" field gets pulled instead and can be templated to apply as an itemized thing, or inject into a section of the agreement in the case I presented prior to this.
The other area that's lacking is the ability to change the criteria of the default information of the contact(s) you're sending the quote out to as variables.
An additional important thing that's entirely missing — it doesn't allow attachments, which could solve or be a shortcut to a lot of everything else by embedding a file that has a term sheet(s), pricing model, breakdown, SoW, etc. to provide the full breadth of what's necessary to have legitimized contracted work handled, signed, and paid, all-in-one without the need of using external contracting e-signature software like DocuSign to handle what HubSpot can't, with another differentiator being a certificate of completion and signatory/identity verification.
Last, but certainly not least, the inability to integrate more payment apps outside of HubSpot Payments (built in) and Stripe (externally integrated)... What about Square or Charge, or Apple Pay, or Google Pay, or direct bank integration via Plaid, or QuickBooks, or PayPal Business, or Braintree, or Make the Impact, or Stripe Connect, etc... You get the point.
Anything should be possible or integrable in there above and beyond the bare minimum, which also just so happen to be the two providers with the absolute steepest priced transaction fees...
This would be fantastic! We are trying to move our subscriptions from another payment gateway into Hubspot Payments. All of our members/clients have different renewal dates and in order to create subscriptions, we need quotes/payments. If we are able to automate quote creation and send to our members, this can eliminate so much manual process to update.
@ethankopit Any more updates on this? The last one was a year or so ago and you mentioned then that you'd loop back in the next quarter. I'm hoping that this might be on the roadmap for an upcoming sprint by now but would really appreciate an update either way as it would be a major timesaver for the upcoming quarter for me.
