I'd like to be able to use a hubspot workflow to enroll (and trigger) a contact into a sequence in the CRM.
I'd like to execute a sequence we've built in our HubSpot CRM when a contact property changes. eg; when contact property is set to 'X' trigger sequence 'Y'
@glencornell Looks great, but is there also a possibility it will be added to Sales Professional? Its a pretty huge step between the two plans ofcourse..
Hello. It would be great if we could have a workflow for deals, to enroll the next available contact person in a sequence. I would want it to work as follows:
-I enroll a contact belonging to a deal onto a sequence
-The sequence ends with no replies for that contact. Because they haven't replied, the last step of the sequence generates a task for me to reach out to the next contact.
-A workflow is triggered by the task which enrolls the next available contact into the same sequence (provided that the next available contact has never been enrolled in any sequence before)
-The task is marked as completed
This would help me by avoiding manual work to enroll other deal contacts in the sequence
Feel free to move my request onto another thread if it fits in better elsewhere. Thank you.
It is ridiculous that this is an "enterprise" feature. If our current subscription allows us access to Sequences and Workflows, then it should also allow us to use them together instead of having to upgrade to a much more expensive product tier.

.
I know there's a "pro version" of this feature in development, but I agree 100% with this statement. Workflows has been a Professional feature for as long as I can remember, and it makes me super nervous that HubSpot are now creating different versions of automation tools/features depending on whether you're an Enterprise or Professional customer.
You can get around this by using a combination of Zapier and Mailshake. Create the Sequence in Mailshake. Use a workflow to trigger a field update that then triggers Zapiers to trigger the sequence in Mailshake. You can then use Zapier to update Hubspot on whatever happens in Mailshake.

We use at least 4 different services and can do anything we can imagine. The Hubspot API is incredible and we don’t need to wait for Hubspot to add functionality. We just create it ourselves.

Completely unrelated things. The discussion here isn't how useful the API is or is not, or the flexibility to add third-party services. The discussion is whether Hubspot should keep really basic features out of reach for paying customers for no discernible reason.
The main one is Zapier which can connect just about anything, but we also use Mailshake which is an awesome yet very inexpensive emailing tool with fantastic API connectivity. We also run our own server to read/write directly through the Hubspot API. There are several other services we use such as gmail, google docs, mysql, ring central, and several other third-party apps. Pretty much anything that has API access can be connected.
That's what I want to do -- enroll in a sequence from a workflow. But currently, it's only available to Enterprise users. Trying to figure out a timeline for it to be available for us lowly Pro users.
It is great that the feature is now available but a serious deficiency is that we can't set sender = contact owner. Without this it doesn't make any sense to enroll contacts from within worklflows. Now we have to define as many branches as potential senders, and this makes workflows for bigger sales teams very complicated to maintain in case of personal and role changes.
