Use sequences properties and activity as Contact filters in Lists and Workflows
We have multiple sequences running and need to be able to create list of contacts who have been enrolled into a sequence. This allows us to run different types of field, email and product/services campaigns based upon the location of the contacts and the date of the sequence.
Realizing that I can take a list of contact and place them into a sequence. I am surprised that I can not take a sequence or sequences and create a list of contacts. This woudl be a very helpful tool.
We are now planning work to allow sequences properties to be used as triggers and filters in workflows, lists, and reports. More details on the related work and progress can be found in the update for the Idea: Drill-downs for Sequences Open/Click Reporting
I've merged this idea with a similar Idea to create a contact list/show sequences enrolled for a contact. All upvotes and comments from both should now be visible in this Idea post.
And an update! We are now planning work to allow sequences properties to be used as triggers and filters in workflows, lists, and reports. More details on the related work and progress can be found in the update for the Idea: Drill-downs for Sequences Open/Click Reporting
+1 to this idea as well. I am completely dumbfounded as to why I can't go to a previous emaili sequence and use the filter feature to only show the contacts that went through the sequence completely but never replied. That is a list that I need to be able to produce ASAP and the data is sitting right there on the screen so it seems like it would take very little work to have it setup so that I could then save that filtered list into a new list to use on another email sequence. This is very frustrating to me and it doen't appear that HubSpot is very concerned about fixing it based on the number of times it's mentioned here and how far back the comments are dated. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.
@glencornell Hi! Thanks for the updates. I wanted to make sure that we could also trigger the un-enrollment of a contact from a sequence in a workflow too. Not only triggering enrollment.
This would be fantastic, especially from a sales end. We would like to do more with the contacts that don't interact. It would be great to have a workflow that allows us to schedule a call for those that don't interact (or do). It would help build a priority versus just scheduling a call in the sequence.
Would love this to be implemented; it's great especially if we can also pull out list of contacts that have interacted with the email similar to how marketing emails are set up now (: Thanks!
With that said, this capability is monumentally important.
But I think, and forgive me if someone's already mentioned it, it needs to have the ability to segment based on response type (reply, no reply, booked meeting, clicked, etc.).
The sentiment of the response would be an incredible bonus; this is something other sales platforms offer.
upvvoting this. this is a huge need. we need to be able to pull data on specific campaigns and sequences within that campaign. the fact that we can't quickly pull a list for contacts currently in 1 campaign, or even who have ever been in 1 campaign, is really limiting our reporting.
I was told by support that this is an ongoing feature that your team is reviewing. If possible, it would be great to incorporate a way to filter which contacts enrolled opened the sequence email and clicked. The percentages make it hard to conduct a meaningful follow-up as I am not sure who engaged in the first place. Thanks, Hubspot team!
+1 here. Really want this feature. Would like to create a list of companies + contacts that have been enrolled in a sequence. In that sense, we would be able to measure the performance of the sequences by creating a list and then seeing how it develops.
Wondering if we have any updates here? Would be great if this feature allow us to target contacts who enrolled within certain sequence but fail to open certain sales email within the sequence.
I've just merged this idea with a related idea titled "Workflows should have to ability to use sequence completions or starts as trigger for following actions" and updated the title of this idea to account for the change.
Merging these ideas increases the overall traction for a concept by combining the total "kudos" received for similar issues. The technical solution to solve for each of these problems is very similar, so this will help us keep all updates in one place as we make progress towards a solution.
Do you know how long it would take to deliver this? At the moment I'm having to use a roundabout way to say, "If a contact has clicked a link in a sequence, do this" and it would be great if we could cut down on that noise.
As a customer support specialist, I'm looking forward to this idea becoming implemented. I have customers who ask about this - it'll be amazing once they have this capability! Thank you. 🙂
If there was an 'In progress' option here, then I'd use it for this post! We have been in progress now for several weeks to get sequences data available in other places across HubSpot.
Currently, we are getting the 'raw' data into Lists when building Contact-based lists. I've included some screenshots for what this looks like in our testing environment.
Some of the remaining steps:
we need to clean up the labels on this data so it makes more sense, that includes removing some data that's just not useful!
we need to add some
we then need to backfill this data from our testing environment to our "live in-production" vesion of HubSpot
Once this has been done, I'll update the status here to "In beta" and you'll be able to request access! Some of our team has been taking a much-deserved break, so we will be able to begin these next steps in November when they are back!
If you're following the "long tail" of work here, then you'll know there are a few more apps that we want to support, like Contact-based Workflows and Reports. After we are on Lists, we'll begin the process of getting these filters in those places as well! That means this Ideas Forum issue might be 'In beta' for some time, despite some elements of this work being out live to all.
