Use WhatsApp subscription status as trigger/filter in workflows
What is it?
The option to use WhatsApp subscription status to modify actions in a workflow, which is currently available for email subscription types.
Why does it matter?
HubSpot has elevated obtaining consent status for WhatsApp communication to the same level of importance as that for email communication, but not made available all of the workflow options that are available for email subscription status. This disparity is a significant blow to companies that use WhatsApp in HubSpot to a significant extent to communicate with their clients, as we do.
Use case scenario
Sending an automated WhatsApp template response to clients who have not subscribed to WhatsApp communication that asks them to respond with one of the opt-in words.
