please let us unassociate in bulk via import or workflows
right now roughly 8% of my contacts have emails bounced globally - i'd like to unassociate them from their companies & deals so they don't come up in any reports, and our reps won't find them and try to send an email
i don't want to delete them because i don't want past activities to be deleted
Please add the ability to unassociate in bulk. We accidentally added a number of contacts under a company, but now have to go through one-by-one to unassociate them.
We have approximately 5,000 churches and schools (companies) in HubSpot. Twice a year, we get an updated complete list of those churches and schools from our parent church body. That list includes updates on who the main contacts are at each of those churches and schools. It’s common for a school principal, or a pastor, to change jobs and to move to another church or school in our database. So, getting that updated list twice a year is incredibly valuable.
Here's the problem. If we import the updated list, if the contact is now associated with a different company, HubSpot just adds that company as a 2nd associated company. We need a way to tell HubSpot to "move" the contact to the new company (unassociate the old company and/or add the new company).
Or, issue 2, if a contact has a new email (common, since it's a new job), HubSpot sees that as a new contact and creates a new contact record.
I’m sure this issue is relatively common for businesses that buy lists, etc., and uses them to update their contacts.

We work with a number of schools that often share a domain between them. We've added these domains to the exclude list (which means these contacts don't get automatically assigned to the generic company from that point on), but we often can't tell this is needed until after many contacts have already been associated with that company. Being able to unwind that association in bulk is the only practical way to correct this, doing it one by one is such a big task that we can't afford to do it that way.
This could be a really useful feature and would allow customers to keep the system up to date where other related systems have to be used but no access to the API is available.
If you can associate via import, you should also be able to dis-associate.
We very much need this because a bunch of contacts were inadvertently associated with Proton mail the company because of their email addresses, but they dont work there. Now we must un-associate 400+ contacts manually?! 😩
