Translation of product

I am a bit shocked, I am new in Hubspot and I start to using products and I realize that there is no translation for product, I have to create duplicates in particular language.

👋 Hello! I'm Rachel from the HubSpot Product team. Sharing an update - we have a beta in its early stages called Translate custom CRM data. In the current stage of the beta, you can create translations for custom properties (such as custom Product properties), excluding custom pipeline and custom pipeline stage translations. During the beta, the ability to translate other custom data such as custom pipeline and pipeline stages will be added.

Is there some workaround for that ugly feature? We have to declare quotations in three languages (and will be more in a shorter time). Actually everybody has to change the description in each item in a quotation, because it's not possible to use custom fields for each language cause no. 2 we can't use all those custom fields within the quotation templates

My team and I were frankly shocked. Why is it possible to create a quote template in different languages, but not the items in it? This is so tedious and confusing for our sales colleagues because you can't name them ‘DE - Article 1’ or ‘DE - Artikel 1’ as the title is displayed on the quote. So the workaround is quite time-consuming. What's more, you can't create price lists and filter them by language.... so really a longed-for feature!

We had the same problems. Our workaround is now, that we have added new fields for each language within a product. Within the template we are using the correct field regarding the chosen template language. Maybe this helps for a workaround

Agreed here with @KSchwarzbart . Currently the translation optoin seems to be for internal viewing only so for anything external (Quotes, Forms, etc), it doesn't work. 

For the quotes alone, this means we'll have to create circa 75 new products which are, in fact, all duplicates so I'm assuming this will impact reports too. 

 

Would be amazing to allow us translate product names for quotes.

@rwebb1 so this Beta doesnt work for me i tried like 10ish hours on this i have like 5 support tickets open from this and nothing works

i literally exported the file added one translation and then tried to upload it again and this didnt even work like HOW?
Are u giving me the wrong export to start with or how is this build and why does the email say the header isn't recogized like i didnt even touch/change anything in the header how can there something not be recognizable...
