This idea is currently in development and is slated to enter private beta this quarter. We'll update this post with additional details in the coming weeks.
I just spent an half an hour on video conference the other day with a product specialist bascially complaining about these same issues and how its a glaring oversight for any professional organization. This simple lack of functionality is a blocker in terms of service. Hopefully, the developers will complete something soon, so that those of us who pay to use features advertised by this company, will finally be able to do so.
Aircall is Hubspot's preferred provider for phone supprt but no mention of this specific lack of capability. You can never be too careful when working with potential new vendors. Make sure to ask EVERYTHING becuase they will put the onus on you, the customer, to explore every single nook and cranny to get the information you need. They will not onboard you in a professional matter - so you have to take things into your own hands. One would think, "Is call transferring a feature," would NEVER be a question with systems like these.....

Very much needed! Would also love to have the ability to transfer to a non-hubspot number (example: a department or employee that doesnt use hubspot calling).
I was also told that this "idea" was in develop about a year and half ago and we did not get any update and changed to other companies, but I do need a reimbursement for this idea
well this is of course a required calling feature - without such a feature no professional calling company can use the calling feature - very surprised that this is not part of Hubspot calling yet
@fndicu - I do not see this feature in the "Product Update" section. Do you have aan ETA for when this feature may come available in that beta/testing area? Thanks for working on this.
Just in process of evaluating 3CX for migrating our phone system; have been looking to see if HubSpot calling would meet our needs, but appears to be missing a number of standard call management capabilities that would limit our ability to take advantage of the call transcription / AI related functionality.
Basic Requirements
4. Call Management Features:
•Call forwarding, transfer, and hold. (just added hold, but need forwarding and transfer to other numbers and HubSpot users)
•Voicemail with transcription and email forwarding. -- done
•Call queuing and routing, including intelligent call routing based on rules. -- not sure if HubSpot can do this with its IVR based functions introduced?
•Auto-attendant and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems.
5. Mobile and Remote Access:
•Mobile app support for iOS and Android.
•Softphone capabilities for remote and mobile workers. -- can we use HubSpot IOS app as a softphone (both receiving and calling; with call mgmt functions)
Another 👍 for this. We are coming from Zendesk, which also uses twilio, so the functionality should be there for Hubspot to allow transferring live calls to other staff users as well. We use a BPO for incoming calls, and it's helpful for the call agents to be able to transfer to our internal staff when a customer is returning a call from someone, etc.
