We have software data sheets in the File Manager that we link to on our site for customer download. We need to have the ability to track how many times these pdfs are downloaded for viewing, as well as being able to see what web pages these linked documents can be found.
Hi everyone! My name is Hallie, and I'm a Program Manager on our CXM Team. I wanted to share an update on this feature request because I've just connected with the product team regarding this. While it's not on the immediate roadmap, this is on the product team's radar long term. Implementing this will require some bigger changes on the backend, so it's a larger task to take on. Please continue to leave feedback here in the meantime, and as any other updates on this arise, I'll be sure to update you here. Thanks for your continued patience and understanding!
As you can see - this was recently changed to "not planned". We did that foreseeing that in 2023 we will not be able to work on this project, and wanted to make sure that everyone was updated on where things stand. We will update this post further when work for this is planned again! I am also happy to chat with anyone here and see if we can find any workable solutions.
Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback here. While there is no official update at this time, this is something that is on our team's radar; there are no definitive plans on our roadmap for this but it is something that our team is aware of.
I'm confused. Apparently Hubspot coined the term "Inbound Marketing" at least 15 years ago, and I've been following their content.
Now I'm a customer for the first time, and I'm having trouble understanding why it can't so much as count PDF downloads. I'm in a situation where I need to host a file somewhere (Hubspot I assume) and provide a link on my website (not Hubspot, no longer WordPress where I used a download manager) but cannot use a Hubspot form in this instance.
How do I track downloads in Hubspot? I can't? I have to use Google Analytics?
Two years down the line from the lates update I think this merrits new consideration. Need a way to create reports on file usage as well as a way of creating image sitemaps. The information is all in the system, only the functionality and the reporting and API availability is missing. Such an easy win
Hi all - this functionality is native in Box.com and we have built an integration between HubSpot that allows you to access statistics on downloads and set security controls on viewing and downloading
This would be really useful and save so much hassle for us. Considering the amount of upvotes this has I thought something would have been done by now?
