At time of writing - we cannot have time-based delays in date-centred workflows as delays in date-centred workflows can only be based on the property (27 days before date) and not a fixed amount of time (e.g. 1 day).
It would be useful and easier to manage (in terms of number of workflows) if we could have time-based delays on date-centred workflows.
Hoping we can see this implemented - although we have workarounds such as "Enroll in another workflow".
