We have various things generating tasks - especially sequences. Task queues don't solve every problem - and many situations are more nuanced. As a result, tasks have become more cumbersome to manage - costing our team time rather than helping us save time when getting things done.
Would be AMAZING to have task-based workflows that:
trigger when things happen to tasks to create actions and automation in other areas of HubSpot
take action like making edits to tasks that have been created by users or through other means of automation (workflows + sequences)
This would allow us to assign or reassign tasks, edit other task properties, and even delete/complete tasks, all based on numerous conditions across HubSpot.

Yes, please. Would like to be able to TRIGGER based on a task (which is sometimes created by a 3rd party integration) and also edit tasks (reassign, change date, etc)
The relationship between tasks and deals and other objects is significant, and there are times it would be better to trigger an action starting from a task. For example, HubSpot has a default Deal property, "Next Step," which figures prominently in its new Sales Workspace, but when populated, this property becomes somewhat redundant to tasks. Instead of asking the team to manually populate both, I would like to be able to trigger a workflow based on a task, so that when a team member creates a task to "Follow up," a workflow can automatically populate the Deal Next Step property. If we can create a task from a deal-based workflow, the functionality to update properties from a task should also exist.
We use Clickup for task management, and I would love to be able to create a trigger on 'task created' so that I can mimic the task into ClickUp so all of the company-wide tasks are rolled up into a single view.
Beyond that, creating tasks based on deal stages and pipeline stages seems to work great - but not sure why we can't further that flow beyond it's current limited functionality.
