Task Queue | Make the record displayed related to the task

When using Task Queues the object record displayed, i.e. Contact, Company, Ticket, Deal, was the object that the task was created from.

Now if a Company record is associated with the Task this will take precedence and the company record will be displayed.

This means that you then have to find and click on the related deal to view the task and relevant information to complete the task.

Company is probably the least relevant object to show by default when completing tasks. This should be the object that the task is relating to, or at least have a standard that it is the contact record that is shown by default.

Yes, this is really strange behavior. We might have multiple deals per company and it's frustrating to first figure out which deal task belongs. That said I would prefer deal as a standard, because there might be several contacts per deal.

Absolutely agree! @frnkr Either the task should open in the record it was originally created in, or it should at least follow a hierarchy as it already does to some degree. For example, if a task has Contact, Company and Deal associated to it, the task queue playlist should open the task in the Deal rather than Contact or Company (as is the case now). If only Contact and Company are associated, it should open in Contact.

Our HubSpot portal has many different business units sharing contacts in the CRM and therefore our best practice rule is that all must work in Deal records. Today, task queues are not usable for us since this means that agents are taken to the contact or company records rather than the associated deal record. They must then look through all the deals (often there are many for one contact due to renewals, several different subscriptions, etc.) and choose the relevant one for them. This completely breaks the working flow and defeats the point of a task queue / playlist.

This would be very beneficial to have. We create tasks through worklows and we have had to stop associating them to companies because of this.  Going into each associated deal record individually take up a lot of time compared to using a task queue.

Yeah, we started populating the link to the deal in the task description.  Would still prefer that it was just the deal that showed up originally though.  Having to click an extra link for no reason when you're doing 400 tasks adds up.

I think it would be best if there was a way to select the primary association for the task upon creation.
