You have a new option of Tags on deals, its great and something we have been waiting for a while.
We are using it, but there is a limit of 10 tags only for the whole system.
Are you planning to increase it soon? That would be awesome, as we ca only use it if we can use it to the full extend, please consider increasing the amount of Tags allowed.
I'm excited to share that we've just finished releasing enhancements to our colour-coded object tags. We've moved the limits for these tags to the account level and introduced custom object tags.
See screenshot of the product update. Here's the Knowledge Base article with more details.
I hope this latest release helps you continue to use these visual cues to help your users prioritize!
Hi everyone! Thank you for sharing your feedback here on coloured object tags. We're excited to hear the demand for this feature, in helping users prioritize records with this visual cue.
I understand many of you are looking for more than the limit of 10 tags per account. I wanted to acknowledge that and share that I'm working with our teams to explore our options. Unfortunately, it's more complex than simply increasing the limit. But please trust that I am looking into this and will share an update as soon as I can.
In the meantime, I'd suggest using your limit of 10 tags strategically. For example, if you want users to see their records by deal owner, you could create a filtered view for that. Appreciate you all for your feedback and engagement!
We would love to see an increase in the number of deal tags that can be used (up to 20)
We have 2 products sold and managed by separate teams.
One is much more sales led, and is using the tags to identify upsells, downgrades, renewals and RPI increases.
The other product which my team works on, is more product-led, so has tags for whether they're in a free trial, whether they're our ICP.
Whether they're in a sales-assist or self-serve motion. Our needs vary massively, and a simple solution could be to provide a maximum of 10 tags per pipeline.
Upvoting this! We are a highly visual team and have been loving the new deal tags feature so far, but the limit of 10 is definitely frustrating. We are increasing our product offerings and have a complex subscription model, so we really need more flexibility here.
Our sales team manage lots of deals coming the pipeline and being able to tag them is great but limiting the tag options to 10; limits the team.
The team would not have 10 tags on one deal at once but being able to see a tag that says this query is an employment query or related to xyz campaign is really benefical.
limiting the creation up to 10 stops me from being able to tag all the sectors the deal is related to.
Upvoting this! Having more tags is a huge must for organizing our many Ticket pipelines. The tag feature is very helpful for our team but we need to be able to add more.
+1 upvoting on behalf of my customer! They require more than 10 ticket tags as the team is expanding and there will be new functions created. Hopefully the tag limits will be increased in the near future. Thanks!
Why is there a limit on deal tags in the first place? Please enable us to have more than 10 sooner than later! It has messed up a process I am building out for a client!
Upvoting this! Deal tag is incredibly useful. However, with a limit of 10, there's a struggle to define the necessary tags for each pipeline. It would be greatly helpful if the upper limit could be increased or settings could be made for each pipeline!
We urgently need more than 10 ticket tags. My team likes to use Ticket Tags to show the owner of the ticket, as they stand out alot more being larger and coloured. Unfortunately, this limits us to the number of team members we can set up with their own tag, and I would like to use tags to highlight other things as well - response due, no category set, etc.

I understand that its complex and not simple, Please understand that it makes it almost not usable as is, as anything we want to add as a Tag we have multiple options and requrments, based on Pipelines and work teams, i understand that Hubspot would like to limit the amount of Tags ona deal, you can still do that and allow more tag options (same as you have with the limit of 4 properties per Pipeline).
Just sharing feedback from my team that filtered views are too tricky/confusing for them to create. I understand them, but it can be confusing and overwhelming for average users. For us, the tags allow us to clearly see who each ticket is assigned to without expending too much effort scanning the text on the ticket card - it stands out so well. It allows me (as the manager) to still view all tickets, which ensures I don't miss anything, while getting a pretty clear idea of how the work is spread out across the team - without clicking back and forth between filters.
Agreed! We find this an absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary limitation. It makes no sense for this limitation to be in place. We have multiple ticket pipelines for different verticals which would require unique tags per vertical within our company and are paying enterprise pricing, it's not even a limitation to pricing i.e. professional gets 10 tags; enterprise gets unlimited for example (not that I agree with this model)....
