I'd love to see 2 way synch to google contacts as an option. Many apps use google contacts. For example, Evernote app has a business card scan function. Take a picture of a business card and it can add the details to your phone contacts. This can then synch to Google contacts. By just having the ability to sync from google contacts to Hubspot you gain this business card scan functionality.
If a contact has a new email or phone number, I need this on my phone, so a change in Hubspot CRM should be synched to google contacts.
I consider this to be fundamental, and this functionality exists in the Insightly free CRM - I am surprised I couldn't find a request for this (apologies if I have missed it).
HubSpot's integration with Import2 Wizard just announced yesterday an integration with Google contacts. So through using their free service, you can now pull contacts from Google Contacts to HubSpot
Thanks @JanaB for you pointing out Import2. I have seen through these threads that PieSync can also work but looks like this is a paid for subscription.
For small business owners, or where most of our transactions will fall far less than 500 records/month the free versions of Import2 & HubSpot look to be very compatible.
Are there any other users who have used Import2? What have been your +/- with the program?
Just starting out with HubSpot but this limitation ie no sync between HubSpot Contacts and my Google contacts on phone PC Table etc is a real nuisance - I don't want to tie in to an expensive Zapier account (the free one isn't worth a light). It's making me think of finding a better way of working. Shame - HubSpot looked promising.
Please setup a native google contact sync, like pipedrive and other CRM's in this area. It's a huge time saver!
I'm not sure if this has to do with data privacy, like GDPR. But it kills the idea of "automation" if you have to manually copy all your contacts over every day. Zapier is a short term fix as it wont update as you go along. It needs to be an API.
Any update on this important core feature? I would really like to use Hubspot more. I current use the Sidekick email notifications, and attempt to keep things synced with Zapier, but it is not very effective for 2-way sync
Hi @dzunker - as of now, integrating a Google Contacts Sync natively into HubSpot is not on the product roadmap. However, one of our integration partners, Import2 has developed a valuable integration here that I would strongly recommend trying out! http://wizard.import2.com/apps/hubspot/.
Using HubSpot as the original source for employees' (especially sales reps' and management's) google contacts is absolutely crucial. I'd love to see this on the product roadmap as well. Thanks!
