After assigning a Lead to a HS Sales User, I'd like to start a Sequence on their behalf, such that the email in the sequence has the FROM email of the HS Sales User, not me (the initator of the sequence).
Hi @MandyL! That’s a completely fair question, and I appreciate you following up and sharing your thoughts. After seeing your comment, I checked in with our product team and was able to get a bit more context.
When the product team evaluates what to prioritize, they consider multiple factors, the feedback shared in the Ideas Forum being one of them. The good news is that this particular request is still on their radar and being discussed, and hasn't been deprioritized. That said, it hasn’t been scheduled for development yet. The main reason is that other projects with more immediate impact have taken precedence for now.
We fully understand how valuable this would be, and I’ll continue to keep an eye on any updates from the product team. If I hear that it’s moving into development, I’ll make sure to share that news here right away. At the moment, though, there’s no confirmed timeline.
This idea's status has changed from ‘Being Reviewed’ to ‘Idea Submitted’. This change is due to our improvement project to update our Ideas Forum statuses in order to provide better transparency into how we are listening to your feedback.
“Idea Submitted” means that our product teams are aware of this feedback and are monitoring the need for this feature alongside other inputs that determine their priorities & roadmap.
For more details about the statuses we use on the Ideas Forum & what they mean, you can read this community post here.
Another vote here please! The ability to send a sequence on behalf of another user and/or a 'team' mailbox would be so great for keeping ontop of these processes when team members join/leave.
Is there an update here? Our Sales Dev team will be doing more and more support work for sales (which is where this would really shine), which includes re-engaging their low engagement clients through automation. Thank you!
Agree. This feature is super important. Sales Reps aren't always tech-savvy. It should be simple enough to set up a sequence once and then duplicate it for every sales rep.
Hello, what is this update on this feature? We're currently vetting our renewal with Hubspot and this feature would be exceptionally meaningful to our team.
Stumbling upon this a year later as I'm coming across this issue as well! This would be a very helpful feature.
@indiracatmedia I think the solution outlined in your link only works for aliases; I have a Sales Hub Professional subscription, and I'm unable to select both my colleague's email and our group inbox as the "from" address.
Hi @sarahdecarlo - I see what you mean; alternatively, if you have access to automation, you could use a workflow to enrol contacts in the sequence as someone else. You can use manual enrol or create a list as trigger criteria, and the action would be to enrol in the 'x' sequence as an 'x' user (see workflow screenshot below). Remember that the users must have their email inbox connected to HubSpot with sales pro+ paid seat and have access to the sequence in question so it can be sent as them. Of course, the workflow should be more granular and dependent on how your sales teams work and the sequence's purpose, i.e. by territory, based on event trigger, conference follow-up sequence, etc. I hope this helps 🙂
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I want to be able to simply drop contacts into an SRD's sequence so they can wake up every day and just work the tasks created by the sequence.
