After assigning a Lead to a HS Sales User, I'd like to start a Sequence on their behalf, such that the email in the sequence has the FROM email of the HS Sales User, not me (the initator of the sequence).
Hi @MandyL! That’s a completely fair question, and I appreciate you following up and sharing your thoughts. After seeing your comment, I checked in with our product team and was able to get a bit more context.
When the product team evaluates what to prioritize, they consider multiple factors, the feedback shared in the Ideas Forum being one of them. The good news is that this particular request is still on their radar and being discussed, and hasn't been deprioritized. That said, it hasn’t been scheduled for development yet. The main reason is that other projects with more immediate impact have taken precedence for now.
We fully understand how valuable this would be, and I’ll continue to keep an eye on any updates from the product team. If I hear that it’s moving into development, I’ll make sure to share that news here right away. At the moment, though, there’s no confirmed timeline.
This idea's status has changed from ‘Being Reviewed’ to ‘Idea Submitted’. This change is due to our improvement project to update our Ideas Forum statuses in order to provide better transparency into how we are listening to your feedback.
“Idea Submitted” means that our product teams are aware of this feedback and are monitoring the need for this feature alongside other inputs that determine their priorities & roadmap.
For more details about the statuses we use on the Ideas Forum & what they mean, you can read this community post here.
While waiting for this feature to be released you can use our app, Enrollem. It adds a custom workflow action to your workflows tool that allows you to automate sequence enrollment, including enrolling as other users or even using owner properties like Contact owner or deal owner as the sender of your sequence!
@Ian_Matt There currently exists a native workaround to enroll contacts via workflow, but the issue is that if any enrollments fail (e.g., currently in another sequence, globally bounced, etc.), the failed enrollments end up in the workflow's error log rather than in the sequence enrollment tab—and it's impossible to export contacts from the workflow error log, which means that users are stuck manually copy and pasting failed enrollments out of the log, one by one, to document or fix them. Does your solution address this problem?
Hi @Irm, Enrollem also logs the error in the workflow logs because it works based on the same backend methods as the native action but with some front end improvements and wider access.
However, I have seen in the community that it is currently 'in planning' to allow users to create lists from workflow errors!

We desperately need this functionality. We are migrating 175 outreach users to HubSpot. This customer has 100 Business Development Reps that need to enroll contacts into a sequence and send the sequence emails on the Behalf of one of the 75 account executives. This project is at risk as we don't have a way to allow the Business Development reps to enroll contacts into a sequence and send emails from their assigned contact owner which in this case is the account executive.
^^ it's been the better part of a decade and they haven't done it. They don't care for this feature request. If it's mission critical got to salesforce/pardot. Or find another tool.
Well said! - it makes me laugh out loud every time I get an email and see someone begging for this request. While I obviously asked for this feature myself, I know there is not a snowball's chance in H*ll that Hubspot will do anything except ignore it.
This should be done !! It would help a lot the management of sequences, and analisis of convertion and so on... Doesn't make to clone one sequence for the full sales teams. It make the folder wuite caohotic.
