Splitting Deal Amounts Between Salespeople

At our company there could be a possibility of up to 3 people working on the same deal. Now for reporting and sorting purposes I have created a salesperson 2 and 3 field however, the amount doesn't split between them obviously as they are custom fields.

 

My proposal is for Hubspot to by default allow for more than one salesperson on a deal and then for the amount in the "Amount" field to be split between them. Going even further it would be extremely beneficial if you could choose the split between them depending on if it is two or three people. (80/20, 33/33/33, 50/50, 70/20/10, etc.)

 

The main benefit from this is then the ability to pull a report based off of a field that split amount would go in (ex: Salesperson 2 Amount) and then the report would show accurate profit for all salespeople. The way it currently is depending on the whoever the owner is they have WAY more than the others on the same deal because it is putting 100% of the amount onto them which for our viewing purposes isn't accurate.

Their goal is to have default options for up to 4 representatives to be set as Deal Owners/Co-owners. With this property, they would like to be able to adjust and set the percentage of the deal Amount each representative is responsible for. This would lead to a property that calculates the Amount x Their Percentage, thus showing the amount of revenue from that deal they are responsible for. 

 

The customer has shared this image showing what they would like to achieve in HubSpot. The highlighted yellow cells are fields that they would like to be editable in HubSpot.

Their overarching goal here is to strengthen their reporting. Their desire is to have reports that are adjustable to reflect the different “split” for a deal, rather than the one Amount being attributed to a single Deal Owner.

You can already do that on Salesforce... It would be nice to see that happening, it doesn't seem very tricky to set up for HubSpot. Because using an excel spreadshirt is a nightmare for our finance team, and we're a bit stuck with it at the moment.

Include us as well please! We have simple needs - always split between 2 sales people - 50/50.

Yes! It would be really good to get this. We have quite a few cases where this happens, and currently our sales people are creating a deal each so the appropriate amount of revenue is assigned to them!

We are in desperate need of this feature.  We utilize HS in our Real Estate team.  We have deal owners (which is great...the way we have our system/reports set up the owner is the one that gets credit for conversion).  Where we run into trouble is on one Deal (for us it is either a home sale or purchase) we have multiple agents on it and they could be in a couple of different roles (either a Buyer Agent, Listing Agent, or Showing Assistant).  So, our Buyer Agents can also work as Listing Agents and Showing Assistants but they can't pull ONE view for all of their deals.  They have to pull them separately by role.  This same thing is also happening with our contact records.  Deals and contacts are falling through the cracks because there are just too many different ways to pull the data vs getting one big picture to know who the individual agent needs to follow up with.  The OR feature is imperative and the lack of having it is honestly costing us money.

This seems to be live/in beta as to separate functions (Split deals among users / Allow users to add collaborators)  but doesn't follow the original request of being able to split the deal amount property.

The new deal split feature requires you to report on split deals separately from "single" deals, so you can't have a standard leaderboard report. There's also no way of using the names of the secondary deal owners in an email or notification.

It would also be so helpful if this logic could also be applied to other areas of the tool like meetings, tickets, etc. Being able to attribute these objects and activities to each of the users that have worked on them would be immensely helpful!

I would like to see this implemented on the count of meeting. We are having more than 1 attending a customer meeting often but only the organizor gets the credit in the default meeting reports.

I totally agree with @kagillespie , it should be great and helpfull if in Hubspot we could attribute multiple users to different objects and or activities like meetings, tasks, quotes, deals etc so this can be followed in reporting.
