We associate our deals with specific markets: e.g. China, Japan, Thailand, etc. This allows us to create reports to show total revenue broken down by market.
However, in some cases, specific deals are associated with multiple markets, e.g. there might be a deal that is associated with both Japan and Thailand. When generating a report to show revenue by market, this deal gets counted twice. For example, if the total deal size is $10,000, that amount gets counted for both Japan and Thailand, when in reality, it should be split as $5000 for each.
It would be great if there were a way to split a deal amount by market, in the same way that you can split deals across multiple sales reps. This would allow us to generate more accurate reporting to show our impact in individual markets.
