Sorting Lists - Date Contact added

There should be an option to sort smart lists by when a contact was added to the list.

For example, I have a smart list of people who visited a specific page of our website in the last 7 days. I now ideally want to reach out to them personally and start a conversation.

However, lists dont allow me to sort them by when a contact was last added in. As a result, I have to scan the entire list everyday to see the new contacts added and then reach out to them. I am sure there are many like me who face the same issue.

Kindly consider including this feature urgently in HubSpot.

Thank you.

Raising on behalf of a customer but this is something that is definitely needed!

How has this been sitting for so long? Seems like a simple thing to make the 'Added to list date' column behave like all the other columns with sort ability.

Also having use of this property outside of just viewing the list would make reporting a lot easier... please upvote this as well

I agree this would be very helpful.

Oddly enough, Google Generative AI says that Hubspot has already implemented this feature. I searched for "hubspot added to the list sort by" on a regular Google search.  It sounds authoritative!

Generative AI is experimental. You may see inaccurate creative content.

HubSpot has added a new way to sort lists by "Added to list date". This can be helpful for keeping track of when contacts were added to a list, and for segmenting contacts based on when they were first engaged with your company.
To sort a list by "Added to list date", simply click on the "Sort by" dropdown menu and select "Added to list date". You can then choose to sort the list in ascending or descending order.
This new feature can be found in both the HubSpot CRM and the HubSpot Marketing Hub.
Here are some examples of how you can use this new feature:
  • To see which contacts have recently subscribed to your blog.
  • To identify contacts who have recently attended a webinar.
  • To find contacts who have recently downloaded a white paper.
By sorting your lists by "Added to list date", you can easily identify contacts who are most likely to be interested in your company's products or services. This can help you to improve your sales and marketing efforts.

@Alex48170 Nope, I wish. I just tried sorting "added to list," but there's still no sort feature. Works on all other columns but this one.

HubSpot please add these basic feature, with all the strengths of HubSpot I really cannot quite understand why this is not implemented?! Also, is anyone there from @hubspot to actually reply to their community (and customers)?!

For the record, Microsoft Edge did say that the feature was not available.

I found a thread on the HubSpot Community where a user requested the ability to have an active list ...1Another user also requested the ability to sort smart lists by when a contact was added to the list2. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any official documentation or feature that allows sorting by date added to a list in HubSpot. You may want to reach out to HubSpot support or consult their documentation for more information on this topic."

Very surprised this isn't a feature. Is there any update on it? Trying to view the most recent and shocked I can't.

This would be awesome! Furthermore it would be nice, to create also a report about the growth per month to see, how many people joined the list over time. Thanks

I agree with this 100%. I need it for work, and I can't think of a simple way around it 😞

I thought sorting based on Added to list date property was possible at least in static lists but it looks like it's not there anymore. Any reason for this?Screenshot 2023-11-08 at 16.09.01.png

Another vote-request for the "sort by Contact added to te List" feature.

This is a great idea for a feature. Just make it so that the list has a ^ button next to "Added to List Date" so that you can easily sort the list by who was added first or last.

Almost 7 years later and no movement on this.

I'm starting to think it's not going to happen.

I find this somewhat absurd.  If you have a list of say 1000 people, what are you supposed to do browse the list to see what order they were added?  What good is the list FOR SALES, if it is a LEAD list without knowing that info???

Looks like @RLand s comment pushed it over the edge 🙂 It appears to be available as a beta feature since yesterday

I think I'm seeing a bug with this - I've built a list and edited the columns to show the values I want, including removing the 'Added to List Date' field - all fine. However, if I then try to refresh the list (by reloading the page) it adds the Added to List Date back in again. If I then go to edit the columns to remove the Added to List Date column again, it resets ALL the columns to the original 9 default values, removing any other columns that were showing previously.

(Also, don't know if it's a bug, but I no longer see the page options at the bottom of the list page, I only see the current page and Prev/Next options, so there's no way of clicking to go to page 3, or 10, other than clicking Next repeatedly.)
