Hey folks - While this feature is likely not something we'll bring to life in 2021, it's clear this channel is important. Recent changes to Messenger for Instagram APIs mean an integration is now possible, but we're still evaluating how and when we can add support for Instgram messaging as a channel in HubSpot.
We're exploring this channel but it will likely be some time before we can natively integrate Instagram messages as this will require Facebook to add Instagram message access to their Messenger APIs before we can realize this type of integration.
Showing support for this feature! Direct messages on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. are critical to a social media strategy. For HubSpot to only connect to Facebook Messenger seems like a really big miss.

@hubspot It's middle 2024 and your software doesn't have this feature yet, while others on the market do. Do you have Road Map for this basic feature to be implemented?
I'm a new customer of Marketing Hub and just 2 days of use and we notice it, it's a really bad experience for a beggining.
Have just added chat to website and facebook messenger to our account, would really like to add instagram messenger too so it's all in one place. Please work on this one!
That’s a great suggestion! Having the ability to manage Instagram messages directly within HubSpot, just like Facebook Messenger, would definitely streamline communication. Integrating Instagram chat through the Facebook Business Manager API would provide a unified experience for users, helping businesses manage all social interactions in one place. Hopefully, HubSpot considers expanding the current chat capabilities to include instagram soon!
Absolutely insane and infuriating that Instagram has had 1 billion users for years, and is the #1 social network messaging sales channel for maybe 70% of SMBs -- while Hubspot has a 5 year old community request thread, with customers crying out for this feature, greeted by total silence from the company and zero progress. Is there even one product manager awake at Hubspot?
You have to vote the proposal more up, it is only on page 6 when sorted by top ideas, and if we work from top to less top, we need at least another 5 years or more.
