Slack notification of new social post

I would like to set up automated Slack notifications upon new social posts going live. Our team does their best to keep up with our posts and I manually share the links when I remember to, but it's not scalable when I automate several posts a day across different networks.

For our employee advocacy efforts to work, I'd need everyone to know as soon as something goes live in our LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter channels.

Would be great if you could dedicate some time to improve all sorts of notifications around social.

Thank you!

I'd like to do this too - I looked at Zapier but don't think that allows for this either.

Hey Hubspot - please do this! It's really manual to notify your team of new social posts (esp LinkedIn pages), a slack notification would be a great benefit.

Adding our own use case in the hopes that HubSpot will look into this one!

We don't use HubSpot for our website anymore but do use it to schedule and publish social posts with links to new blog articles. We'd love our team to be notified when new blog posts are published/shared so that they can use them for outreach, etc. Trying to remember to manually inform the team 2/3 times a week is frustrating, and simply can't be done when I'm on holiday and have scheduled a social post well ahead of time.

Would love this as well! Zapier is hard to connect to if you dont have a higher tier account.

This would be an awesome feature.

This would be a great feature! Anyone know a workaround?

I was also looking to see if this is possible, has this been offered yet?

This would be great! We're considering Zapier or GoSquad but easier to satisfy our IT team using a platform we already use not introduce a new software

We would like this feature too. This could be solved by adding the option to connect a Blog or Social account as a Channel to an Inbox. The inbox can then be connected to Slack.

Any updates from HubSpot on this request? This would be SO helpful to engage internal teams for social amplification.

I would love for this to be a thing. It's hard enough to get staff to interact with social media posts without having to set up some convoluted Zap to get it done.

Came back to say we ended up figuring out how to use Zapier/Slack integration and were able to set up alerts for social posts on LinkedIn/Facebook/IG. Anytime we have a new post go up, it waits 15 minutes (in case there are any last minute edits to the posts), then pushes an alert to a specific Slack channel we set up just for social alerts.

out of interest - how did you set up the LinkedIn post to slack alert in Zapier? I have been attempting to get this set up with no luck!

Hi @CNoonan8 - We set it up as a 2-step Zap (see below screenshot).

In Step 1, you can set the social channel and search for your LinkedInCompanyPage as long as it's already connected to your HubSpot account.

In Step 2, you can set which Slack channel you want to send a message to, what you want the message to say. We created a channel for ours that's called social-amplifiers, and our message sends that sends is "📣 *NEW LinkedIn Post!!* --> Please REACT/COMMENT/SHARE!" -- then it includes a HubSpot token for "Message URL" which directs you straight to the LinkedIn post).

Hope this helps!

@RWaldrip Thank you so much! I have been scouring the internet for the answer to this and had no luck!

Do you need to be posting from HubSpot to LibknedIn or will it automatically pull it through even it you post directly on HubSpot?

@CNoonan8 - I believe it has to be posted to LinkedIn from your HubSpot account to work properly
