Single owner deal split reporting changes - nightmare!
HubSpot are making a change which means that users will no longer be able to report on both split and single owner deals together. You might have seen this banner on the top of some of your reports...
Like many businesses, we use split deals, but not all deals are split. This change will mean that we can no longer report sales by rep.
I can't understand the logic for HubSpot doing this?!
Please can you reverse this planned change HubSpot!!
It's going to make HubSpot unworkable from a reporting perspective. It will cause us huge amounts of pain (and cost) finding alternative dashboarding tools outside of HubSpot. I know many businesses use deal splits so will also be affected by this.
I don't understand the logic for this at all, HubSpot. Please reverse this decision. Surely it's standard to have occasions when deals are split and occasions when deals are with one person. Most businesses I know work like this, why you would go from supporting this to not I have no idea.
This will be a complete pain, especially as we have set up so many reports, and the workaround would take 100's of man-hours to complete.

I honestly don’t know a single company that would need reporting separated in this way. It’s dramatically impacting my ability to report in HubSpot and, worse, it destroys transparency for my team when tracking progress.
The core issue with the flimsy workaround is that reports are now pulling against user IDs rather than user names—which means every time a new team member joins, it requires manual updates to the formula. For any company with a growing sales org, this is an absurd amount of unnecessary lift.
It should be the most basic reporting action to see bookings generated per rep, regardless of attribution scale. That’s the foundation of sales reporting. The fact that such a core, basic function is now gated behind a formula beta—and still tied to IDs instead of names—is, frankly, egregious.
HubSpot needs to prioritize fixing this so that reporting is intuitive, scalable, and aligned with how real teams operate.
Completely. Also - the workaround fails to consider the time it takes to manually update every single report individually. We have hundreds of reports. Plus - any manual fiddly workaround like this leaves room for errors and things to break.
This workaround is also using a Beta, which could be pulled or changed at any time.
EDIT AS OF 9/23/25: We've heard your feedback and will no longer be making this change. Deal splits will still be available to report on as they are. No action is needed.
