Should be able to see all messages when you drill in to a deal. Sometimes we talk to many contacts associated with a single company/deal. It really limits the usefulness when you have to drill in to each contact to see if there was a chat.
Generally, any place you are showing emails, you should also show chat/messages.
The company timeline should be an aggregate/index of all activity, including from contacts. I would like to see Messages interactions from contact displayed on the company timeline. This is inline with another idea that requests that Contact's notes should be displayed on the company timeline.
