Setting to prevent call tasks from auto dialing

There should be a user setting to opt out of the auto-dialing functionality when clicking the "skip" or "next" button, when the next task is a call. our database contains many timezones, and often the context of a contact requires a moment of thought before initiating a call. we want our sales people to be able to use this task bar because it's efficient and user-friendly, but the auto-dialing feature is a dealbreaker.Screenshot 2024-11-07 114847.jpg

This needs to happen. There is an Auto Action option on the prospecting side, but not the task side. An Auto Action for an email is fine as you are able to look at the context around the task and click send when you are ready, but with a call it connects quicker than you can hang up and there is no time to remind yourself why you are making the call and what to think about.

Not being able to configure auto dialing gives us problems. Our sale reps need some time to prepair for a call with that specific lead or customer, so it would be great if a call task could be more of a reminder.
We was recommended by HS support to use To-do's instead, but then we loose traceability and we cannot measure what we need.
Please solve this!

How is it intended behavior, that a "skip" button actually triggers the action of the task??

Its actually kind of insane that this isn't a feature. Please add!

Has a solution for this been provided yet? This is a BIG issue.

@MGeorge14 not to my knowledge. we've taken to training all of our reps to use "to-do" tasks in order to avoid this gap in functionality.
