Set deal stage to 0% deal probability without deal being in "Lost" stage.
Posting on behalf of a customer.
This is related to another idea thread which made it possible to set custom deal probability percentages.
Currently, when a deal is set to 0% probability, this causes the deal to be considered as a closed lost deal. Use case: be able to store deal information on HubSpot to keep track of them, and set a deal as 0% probability so that the deal does not count towards the forecast amounts.
Issue: As the deal is considered closed lost, the close date gets automatically updated by HubSpot as per here, which affects the reporting. there is also no way to prevent this default behaviour from happening.
Possible workaround: use workflows to "reset" the close date back to the original value
It's pretty frustrating since our sales team are looking for a sandbox environment within the pipeline with 0% stage. According to reps, it's something default/support in Salesforce
+1 on this one. We have a Sales stage where SDRs add deals, which should not count as pipline until handed over to an AE. Now this stage "screwes up" the weighted pipeline as the lowest % we can set is 1% - even if we'd like it to be =%
I had set our new deals to 0%, because we have no idea what their probability is yet until they talk to sales, and I was trying to figure out why things were broken.
Net new opportunities are set to 0% until they are validated by a rep. We also have workflows that look for number of open deals ... but new deals aren't being counted as open because they are set to 0%.
Are there any plans for adjusting this?
