Sequences that can thread on earlier messages.

Hi, I want to set up sequencing to automate follow-up pings to qualified leads that have not responded within X days. We are using the Sales Hub Enterprise and can trigger sequences on different criteria. The major issue is that we want to continue the earlier conversation and not start a new one. I did not realise i needed to raise an idea for this so doing it now.

This is such an important feature especially when you are sending customized mails to different prospects but you cannot create a generic sequence for those contacts. A pure follow-up sequence which can be attached as a reply to email thread which is already created would be so helpful.

I agree, it is such a pain trying to remember if a lead I reached out to ever responded to my initial request. Sometimes they just get busy and need another ping. It would be amazing if you could automate an email to go out after X days if they have not responded to your initial inquiry, just to keep your email top of mind.

@KBrigham , Top of mind is exactly what we are trying to achieve and this is business-critical for us. A follow-up ping without the earlier reply smells of spam and that is not what we want at all from a CRM solution.

 

We are reconsidering whether HubSpot is the correct tool for us, have you found any way to achieve the desired result?

Thanks for raising this. It's such a basic feature. Would have rather had this than the navbar update...

I set up an email sequence with "Manual Email Task " at the beginning instead of "Automated Email Task." You just need the first email to be manual and the rest of the sequence can execute automatically.

 

It's not exactly the same thing... but it's better than doing it all by yourself. Atleast you get reminders to do it and the message is ready to cut/paste.

@HrishiSathawane thanks for posting this, HubSpot suggested the same as a workaround which I have been testing. It would be so valuable for follow-up if we could latch a sequence of pings to an existing email, or email thread though.

This would be awesome, so we can automate a follow up response where we have responded to an inbound enquiry, but the prospect has not proceeded

@MartinKa and @JLozano53 please upvote the idea and have your team members do the same. The upvotes are an important factor if we want Hubspot to move forward with this idea.

Please get this set up! It feels so "unnatural" and "sales-y" to require the creation of a new thread to have follow up steps in an email conversation that you have customers.
