It would be great to be able to test a sequence immediately (see the emails and task notifications) instead of having to wait for it process through the timing.
I'm Ana, the PM for sequences here at HubSpot. This idea is on our radar, but not our roadmap at this time, specifically through the end of 2023. I understand the need to test out and preview the content you’re sending your prospects and contacts, and we'll continue to investigate how to make this a reality.
I also wanted to highlight a workaround mentioned in this thread: sequence emails are made up of templates, which can be sent to yourself to preview how an email will appear to recipients. To do this, navigate to any test contact, open up the email compose window and click ‘Templates’ to select and send any email template.

For transparency, I'm updating this idea to 'Not currently planned' because sending a test sequence is not currently planned in the team's work this quarter. This idea is on our radar though, and we see agree with the value that comes with being able test send an entire sequence enrollment immediately rather than needing to wait several days. Doing this would mirror some functionality that is currently possible in Workflows.
I will update here if and when we decide to review this issue to be planned in the sequences roadmap.
Agreed, this is one product deficit I've found that seems like a high value to many people. The added steps of doing this manually are a pain and can lead to confusion IF there are multiple people in the account and multiple campaigns running (which there will be of course!)
I heard from our account manager that this is due to be released in September/October. Would be great to get official confirmation from HubSpot publicly though!
I miss this feature every time I make a new sequence. Or modify a sequence. Or just worry that my sequence isn't formatting correctly when I send it. Or want to double check that when I write a new email in word, then copy/paste it to HS, it formats correctly.

I think it is time to have each of us write a quick email - reference this known required feature that is missing to Brian Halligan, Yamini Rngan, Dhramash Shah - <edited to remove Pii information>
And then just maybe we can get them to put on a roadmap and get done in a month...

Ah yes, the old "search for a how to do something on Hubspot" only to be met with a 4 year old forum with 200+ upvotes that has a "not currently planned" badge. We love to see it!
Chiming in to upvote this one please. We want to ramp up automation so our ISRs don't have to manually click and send emails to prospects. It would save SO much time. But without the ability to test those sequences, we're stuck. I can't get buy-in from the team if we're sending emails blind.
Hubspot Team - This is a baseline feature if you want to have a product that is competitive with 'sales engagement' platforms. Salesloft and Outreach have this feature. It has been more than 4 years folks are asking for. This is a major time waster by not having.
Hi team, would like to upvote this idea on behalf of my customer as well. Testing with personal emails can be rather tedious and it would be great if we have "Test" feature like workflows / marketing emails 🙂
It is unbelievable to me that HubSpot doesn't have such a simple, basic feature after 4 years. It should have been a default capability from the start of having a sequence feature in the product. I suspect this is because they are trying to avoid sequencing having the same capabilities as workflows, but that's a poor product decision for customers.
AGREED! How am I going to send a sequence to hundreds or thousands of email addresses and not be able to test it? Only to potenitally look very unprofessional when something didn't populate properly and I lose all credibility going forward as someone who personalizes my outreach (because it now looks clearly spammy).
