Currently, tasks created via sequence on contacts records are not automatically associated with the company or deal records. Our team has to manually associate the company with each task in order to see activity at the company level. This is time-consuming as we use sequences for the majority of our customer outreach/follow-up reminders, and review tasks.
Solution:
Remove the system barrier to auto-associate sequence tasks created on the contact record to their primary company and better yet, also any open deals the contact is associated with. - Same process as other tasks highlighted in this article.
Hoping to bring attention back to this idea. It's frustrating that task created through a sequence don't have the option to be associated with the company, only the contact. Our account executives work primarily with company records and it's cumbersome for them to have to go to each individual contact to see the task. The only option is to have each AE manually edit the tasks which is not a realistic ask.
This is absolutely a NECESSARY feature! I don't know why we can't just have a setting to automatically associate company with a contact for the task when created from the contact list. Obviously anything we're doing for a contact at a certain company should be associated with the company, I feel like that should be standard with the option to disable that link, not the other way around.
With the upcoming Sales Workspace it is essential to see tasks, which were created in sequences, in the Sales Workspace overview. Otherwise you are missing out on vital information.
I can't believe that the task list is smart enough to show the right associated person but can't pull in the company name. This makes outreach much harder to organize. Please fix this, HubSpot!
It' very strange that this option is unavailable when you create tasks in the contact list.
Is there a workaround to overcome this limitation or make it easier to show the associated companies or deals other than manually doing this for each task?
