Separate customer portal and knowledge base domains

We are in the process of setting up a knowledge base within HubSpot for our customers. We also have a customer portal set up already. Ideally, we want to keep the customer portal at portal.mydomain.com but have the knowledge base at a separate subdomain - kb.mydomain.com. This is not possible at the moment as the knowledge base must use the same domain as the customer portal, with the KB under a subdirectory - portal.mydomain.com/kb for example.

I support this idea. In our example we alreay have a knowledgebase under www.company.no/support

Now we want to set up a customer portal. But since it is a log in site, we would like to keep it in a subdomain like customer.company.no.

The knowledgebase under the subfolder /support is great for our SEO work.
