Following this idea and hopeful for this functionality in future!

Client Use Case:
We have a service team made up of full and part-time team members, who manage communication from one team inbox.  They follow defined processes for onboarding and other service plays.  Ideally, we would use sequences to manage customer communication for these various service plays. However, using sequences to send emails from individual inboxes is not an option, as the team needs access to customer responses and incoming messages.

As a workaround, we've replicated Sequences functionality by breaking up the communication into various workflows with auto marketing emails and assigned tasks. The tasks specify which template to use and include a link to the template. Ultimately, the processes would be ideal for sequences, as the communication is highly personalized and should stop when the customer responds.

Any updates?

Really really need this feature - our Finance team has to send out emails when we can't pay clients and they do an initial notice, then a 30 day notice, and then a 60 day notice. The team does not want to use personal emails for this because it involves money and could involve disgruntled customers. We also don't want to create a user for our shared email because it won't tell us which rep sent the emails and we want to keep that email set up as a shared inbox for to generate new tickets in our pipeline.

It's pretty mission critical to streamlining our processes - additionally being able to schedule send with shared inbox emails would be nice for one off template sends while we wait for sequences to be available to us. This idea has been "being reviewed" for nearly 4 years now - is there any update on this? Hoping this could be a quick and simple fix.

@glencornell hello! Is there any update on this, as its been ~4 years since being marked as "being reviewed"? Even if the update is letting us know it likely wont happen for awhile.

Thanks, Glen!

Do we have any update here?
Our team is using the full Service Package and paying a lot of money for all our Service Hub Enterprise users, for the people wondering here - it's still not possible. There is a way to set Sequences via Workflows and pick a sender - but it can only be one of Hubspot users listed on the Object level (Contact Owner, etc) or preselected Hubspot user.

We need a way to send them from our support inbox.

Any other solution like marketing or transactional emails would cost even more and we are paying a lot for the full Service Package already (and this feature looks like one of the tools that should be available within this package)
Thanks!

Our team operates out of a shared inbox as well. We have a dedicated sales email for all incoming form submissions and queries. The sequence I currently set up has the emails sending from my personal work address, which just makes for an awkward connection.

@YuliaD Our solution for this was to create a HubSpot user with the email address we are using for our shared inbox.

So, support@yourcompany.com has a HubSpot user account. We gave that user a name of "Team Company_Name" and this has worked well enough for us in the meantime.

@YuliaD Our solution for this was to create a HubSpot user account with the same email address as our shared inbox.

So, support@companyname.com has a HubSpot user account for example. This has worked well enough for us.

I hope this helps!

@LizOlmstead I would recommend looking into whether you can reproduce your sequence as a workflow since you can send emails from whatever address you like in workflows. That worked out for our use case.

@SlimBob I don't think its possible to create a Hubspot user with the same email address as a shared inbox on Hubspot, how did you set it?

We may as well have all users sign in with one shared email address then... if it provides the basic functionality expected...?

Which really defeats the purpose of have seperate users...

@YuliaD We have a HubSpot user account with the same email address as the HubSpot shared inbox email address.

This functionality is really needed. With over 200 upvotes and being on here for a number of years I'm really surprised nothing's progressed. An update would be great as it seems a no brainer for functionality. You can't enrol for another user either from what I'm seeing, so where we have an admin function who support our Specialist advisors, the admin team can't pick up basic tasks for them around continued engagement.

WOW!  I came here trying to find an answer to how we can use sequences (we don't currently because they can't be linked to a team/shared email) and how replies to personal emails would be handled if a team member was sick or on leave.  I can see that we aren't the only ones with this issue - I'm very surprised at the lack of response from HS with all of these votes and comments.
