I want to add a personal email, a email-template, to a workflow so it automatically sends these emails to contacts who triggers the workflow. The reason for this is to automatically send emails which look very personal. At the moment, it is only possible to add automated marketing emails to workflows, which look more automated to the receiver.

We need to be able to use Sales Email Templates as a worfklow filter. This is because we are looking to use Email templates sent as a trigger to set another custom property we have created. Without the ability to use Sales Email templates as a filter in workflow, we will need to adopt a workaround of using Marketing Emails and using that as a filter of if/then branch.
With Sales emails, they look more customised and would prefer to use this and be able to use them as a filter in workflows too.
Why is there not any sales workflows that allows you to send external emails to your customers? We currently have the entire sales side of HubSpot and use the 'Deals' as our way of tracking open quotes with our customers. We can have multiple deals with the same customer. I have created some sequences for sending out follow-up emails to our customers but if I get any email from them it will stop the sequence even if the sequence is not scheduled to send an email for 30 days.
Yes. The whole email usage in workflows needs updating. Not being able to add an email to a workflow until it sends is also a problem. But being able to use a Sales email as an enrolment trigger would also be valuable.
I have also been struggling with this topic and am disappointed to see that it has been years and not been added to the platform.
The goal is to be able to send emails with a template or snippet that is more personalized and not marketing emails
I was trying to create a workflow to send an email to contacts that have had no activity for over 100 days but ran into the constraint of having to use a marketing email and a marketing contact.
I feel like this is an easy fix/add and would benefit everyone. Especially sales reps.
I am also looking for a way to use Sales Templates via Workflow triggers for our customers. The Sales Templates are more customizable than Marketing Emails, and they don't have the Ubsubscribe link at the bottom.
The emails we want to send are for customers who are in a license term with us, so an Unsibscribe link isn't appropriate, and it's important for the email to look and feel like a human-crafted email (by inserting Fields from the Deal).
Currently, automated emails in workflows are sent to marketing subscription types and includes an unsubscribe link. I have workflows setup for our help desk tickets that sends automated emails for no response and closed statuses, we do not want our customers to be able to unsubscribe from those type of emails. Using sequence or transactional emails will make it so if the customer responds to the automated email, it won't get recorded in the ticket, so those are not feasable workarounds.
