Send Sequence Emails from the Contact Owner when enrolling with a workflow
When enrolling Contacts in a Sequence using a workflow, the automated emails cannot currently be sent dynamically "from Contact Owner". Rather, a specific Owner with a Paid Seat must be selected.
For large Teams with many users, this means you must create a specific if/then branch for every person on your team who might need to be the Sender of the Sequence Email.
IDEA: Please enable Sequence Emails to be sent dynamically from the Contact Owner.
Who is this for? Sales, Marketing and Customer Success Teams wanting to scale and leverage automation to enroll Contacts in Sequences with workflows.
What is their goal? Scalable Sequence Automation from many different potential Senders.
Thank you for the consideration!
(Edited: Removed the reference to missing email signatures as that's been delivered. Email signatures are now available in the sequence templates when enrolled with workflows. Thanks Hubspot!)
Upvote, upvote, upvote! Creating branches for each owner is tedious and not scaleable among large teams — especially when it comes to adding new team members.
Hey, can't believe this isn't possible and still here since 2021. Obviously a must when sending the same sequence from different people.
For instance, we are a Saas with a free trial. Our CSMs send an email from a sequence triggered via workflow at mid trial. We could have one workflow. Instead, we must have one by CSM.
When someone fills out a demo request, we want to be able to assign a contact owner and have an email come from that owner with a scheduling link. This is insanely hard to do and not scalable right now.
Adding support to this idea, setting up and maintaining spaghetti workflow branches to allow all 50+ members of our sales team to be enroll in sequences is a nightmare!
Please prioritize this to win CRM admin influence in decisions over competitor offerings and Hubspot. Managing dozens of branches for a large Sales team is incredibly cumbersome and this feature is provided by our current Sales automation solution.
The ability to dynamically enroll contacts in sequences on behalf of a contact owner is now in Public Beta. Here is how it will work:
Sales and Service Hub Enterprise:
Navigate to Automation > Workflows to create or edit a contact-based workflow. Select the'Enroll in a sequence'action. Within theSender typedropdown menu, choose whether you'd like to send from a specific user in HubSpot or a contact owner.
Choosecontact ownerto select from a list of contact owner properties within your account. This option will dynamically send from the relevant user.
Sales and Service Hub Professional and above:
Navigate to Automation > Sequences to create or edit a sequence. Within theAutomationtab, selectCreate workflow.
Choose an event to trigger this workflow, then selectEnroll contact in this sequence. SelectContact ownerin the sender dropdown to send dynamically on behalf of the contact's current owner.
Please note: In order to configure this automation, users must have a paid sales or service seat. Users must have a paid sales or service hub seat as well as a connected inbox to send sequences. If the user has more than one connected inbox, we prioritize sending from the inbox matching the user's login email. Otherwise, the sequence will send from the user's first connected inbox.
This feature is rolling out now. If you aren't seeing the update, you can opt yourself into the beta within the Product Updates section of your account. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
