Select Task Start Data/Time and End Date/Time for Task Efficiency and Sales Reporting

1. Sales, Marketing

2. Be efficient, make good use of work time, track how long things are taking to do

3. Increase workplace efficiency, remove wasted time

4. Jira

People like to stay organised around when they are doing their tasks and to keep time management.

Currently, when you create a task associated with records in Hubspot, you can only select a 'Due Date'. This is fine but does not help with time keeping nor does it give you any idea on how long you have actually spent on a task. For example, I have integrated Hubspot Tasks into my calendar so that I can do required tasks before and after meetings. Hubspot Tasks automatically adds tasks to my calendar when I create a task in Hubspot.

This is not the ideal situation.

Ideally, you would be able to set a date and time for the start of your tasks and an end date and time. That way you can say, this task is going to take 1 hour so I will do it on this day and time and allocate that whole hour to the this task, or this task is only 5 minutes so I will do it right after this meeting.

By allowing this to happen, users can separate their work-load across the day between meetings and tasks.

Here is an example of what it could look like:

It also means a Sales Manager like myself can see how long my employees are taking doing certain tasks and assess how we can speed things up and why certain tasks are taking so long.

It also allows me to see in my calendar when I have free slots so that I can bring a task back from a later start date and start it sooner to make use of my day more appropriately and not sit around wondering what to do/waiting for the next meeting.

Please integrate this ASAP. It is a vital feature for time management and analytics for Sales teams.

Add start and end date/times for tasks.

Upvoting this. Our Marketing team would use a task start/end date a little differently but it would still be very valuable!
