Recently implemented Hubspot & am absolutely shocked & disgusted to find that I cannot search for a keyword in emails only in the subject line of the email. How is this possible in 2020 in a CRM system?!?!?!?! One of the reasons we implemented the system was to have a centralised activity history for each client so that we can find emails in one place without having to ask everyone to individually run a search in their outlook to find the email. Does anyone know if there are plans to fix this MASSIVE FLAW in the system or if there is any workaround I can use?
a) Global Search gets the job done, although it is, of course, far more intuitive to search from the client/contact card. This still needs to happen for us at some point 😛
b) Does Global Search support advanced search? i.e. using quotes to match a phrase or exactly containing, as well as the ability to sort by date, or filter by association, etc.
-- I wanted to search "Google Grant" and had hundreds of search results for just containing the first part "Google" on my emails (we're a digital agency, 99% of our emails contain the word Google).
c) If one could use Global Search in a pane view, to explore an email and quickly going to the next and so on, instead of clicking and taking me to the record.
Just adding to the list of people that thinks it is madness that I cannot go to a contact and search for a keyword in the email body...
Please add email body ASAP. If you're worried it will return too many results, make it only search email body after we first navigate to the 'Emails' tab, or allow us to toggle what it searches.
I can't see anyway to filter the global search down to a single contact, so global search is of no use.
It appears HubSpot is investing a lot into their platform, but I'm suprised they continue to ignore this critical feature. The interface is hard to navigate, creating a poor user experience. Make searching objects for email content easier and other areas of user interface more intuitive and your system will truly compete with the Salesforce and others. Until then, there is little value in it for us, even with AI and other bells and whistles. We're rooting for you HubSopt. Please fix this.
It shows this Idea is delivered, however it still doesn't seem to be possible to search the body of an email in the Activity timeline tab (and sub-tab) of a Contact - unless I'm going mad 😥
You can search Email body when searching using Global Search, however my clients need to also be able to search directly on the Contact record's Activity timline. You can search the Email Subject here, but that's not sufficient since most content is in the body of the email i.e. key dates, urgency, locations, product names etc.
Please tell me I'm wrong or missing something obvious! Thanks in advance.
