Schedule a meeting for another hubspot user from contact record
Firstly, not to have to add an existing hubspot user as a contact to be able to add them.
Secodly, not adding the person who sets up the meeting as an attendee because they simply create meetings for other users and don't have to be invited to the meeting
Our use case: pre-sales team books meetings for sales team. They do it from deals. We'd like the sales team member to own the meeting and to have it in its calendar. That should not be the case for the pre-sales team member.
We have our Sales Development Reps to open the users meeting link using the incognito browser window to book meetings for our Account Managers and Executives.
Question is does anyone have a work around for the reporting?
I create Deals automatically based on selected Meeting type. BDR is Organizer, Sales Rep added as an attendee. Then, there is a list to capture meetings/contacts created by ceartin BDR, and I'm using it to enroll contacts into Deal WF. On Deals I created custom property Meeting created by, and it's updated by WF. This property I'm using for reporting, and that is how I know who actually own the Deal (company/contact owner) and who was the person who scheduled the meeting. I'm creating Deal WF for every Sales team member, no matter is it BDR or Sales Rep.
Works for us, here are some s. shots. Maybe idea would help to you guys.
This is the first time I see HubSpot is lacking on Pipedrive, we have an SDR and AE setup were tracking meetings booked/cancelled is crucial as its their KPI.
Another upvote here from me, a lot of people pushing for this but all quiet from HubSpot it seems. Am really surprised that some of this basic functionality is missing, this is really badly needed.
Also needed is the ability to have a "result" for your meetings e.g. "Qualified", "Unqualified", "No-show" etc.
I would also really appreciate this added functionality. It would help our process a ton instead having our SDRs have to go outside of HubSpot to set up meetings. It would be much easier and better if you could just do all within HubSpot
For transparency I am updating this issue from "In Planning" to "Not Currently Planned" because we wont be able to get to this in the next quarter. Adding users to a meeting invite, or removing yourself, is important to any sales teams structured with a SDR/BDR to Account manager handoff. We are evaluating this closely, I will provide an update here once we are able to review this for planning.
The SDR/BDR to AE meeting handover process is one of the most common B2B sales setups. It cannot be that complicated to either have a new field to select who is leading the meeting or at least be able to add additional attendees and then let calendar syncs do the rest.
This is a critical part of my business. My business uses BDR's to set appointments for closers and not being able to schedule appointments through the platform for another user makes this platform almost unusable for that model. I just signed up a week ago and love everything I've used so far, but this functionality (or lack of) is a deal breaker.
Hello. We have a BDR team that works with our Sales Reps. They often are booking meetings on behalf of the rep, but we cannot find a way for the rep to be able become the new owner of that meeting.
Currently, since both Reps and BDRs want "credit" for the meeting, we now have both of them creating meetings with the same people at the same time so it shows up on both ends of reporting.
When I used to use salesforce and was a BDR, I would "Create" the meeting so on reporting I would get the "creation credit" but would reassign the Meeting Owner to the Rep so they get credit for "meeting ownership" and completing the meeting.
Is anyone else struggling with this?
Also, when I've asked HubSpot support on where they advise me to tell my team on where the reps and bdrs should log their "meeting notes" they suggest to just do so as a separate "Note" since adding a Comment would not be exportable/reportable.
Again, anyone else think HubSpot needs to step up their games in terms of customizing the meetings feature to better suite teams that have multiple people internal people a part of the same meeting and all looking for attribution?
Our team has account managers that manage most client communication, but we pull in dedicated marketing specialists, coders, or designers as needed onto our call. We're hoping to get better tracking on how often these specialists are being utilized, by which account manager, and on which accounts.
This will help us identify how much time is spent on client communication versus execution of tasks on the accounts and identify if more support is needed.
