Schedule Workflow Execution / Use date as Enrollment Trigger

Life would be so much easier if we could schedule workflows to automatically enroll / re-enroll all eligible deals at a specific time (say every Friday at 5PM). Unfortunately, we can't set a date / time as the enrollment trigger.

If we want to update certain properties at the end of the day / week / month in the absence of a specific deal change (that is, we want to enroll ALL deals, regardless of activity), we have to build  a workflow based on Create Date is known and then have someone manually toggle it on and off when we want all the data to be re-enrolled. This is obviously inefficient and carries the risk that someone forgets to manually toggle the workflow at the required time. Worse still, it requires us to provide access to workflows to additional staff members, with all the security risk that entails.

If the concern is resource consumption, it seems like that would be easy to manage by limiting enrollment frequency to once a week or once a day, setting execuction hour automatically to midnight, only providing to premium tier subscriptions, etc.

I realize this was posted a year and a half ago, but this funcitionality exists now. You use the "delay" action after your trigger. Here's a screenshot of a simple one I have set up.
