Sales Hub Font and Type Size for Templates and Snippets Don't Honor Account Default
For some reason, Sales Hub Templates and Snippets have their own font and type size settings. It seems like you would want every email message to be uniform and use the default user settings for font and type size.
Leaving that aside, if you don't touch font or type size when creating Templates and Snippets, you would assume that when used in email messages, HubSpot would use your default setting. But this isn't the case. Templates and Snippets seem to have some arbitrary default setting of their own, which defeats the whole purpose of having a system-wide font setting. This results in wasting time on font size adjustments when sending an email made from one template and several snippets.
HubSpot should fix this bug. The account default should apply to all email messages in Sales Hub.
I don't understand why the email feature is treated as an unwanted stepchild. One-on-one and mass emails are an integral part of marketing and sales yet HubSpot formatting makes them almost impossible to do properly.
I've talked with HubSpot support about it and was told there's nothing to do but write a comment in the Community. Outrageous! We also need the ability to have spaces between bullets and be able to indent text!!
it's shocking that this has not been fixed. There is nothing less professional than an email going out in 4 different fonts. As a rule, I "remove formatting" everytime i send an email / setup a template / etc. But it's an annoying and arduous step to what should be a quick process. I find it particlarly frustrating that any time i reply and insert my meeting link, it is in a totally different font than the rest of my email. .. Quite surprised this has not been fixed. 'cmon HubSpot, get on it!
Amen! It seems that professional-looking emails are at the bottom of their priority list. Indenting a subparagraph and having spacing between numbered/bulleted lists are also very much needed but requests for them are ignored.
I'm the person who posted this "Idea." Thanks for all the upvotes! It seems like HubSpot doesn't have much interest in fixing low hanging fruit like email formatting. Has anyone found a competitor similar to Sales Hub Pro? HubSpot's key feature for us is the contacts/companies tables with filtering and custom properties. Most CRM apps seem to lack a similar contacts/companies table and instead hyperfocus on deal pipelines. These tables in Sales Hub essentially also make it a marketing app, not just a CRM, because of the lists you can create.
I am very surprised that you can not change the snippet and template font default!! It would be very helpful to our team and I would love to see this changed/updated asap.
Wouldn't that be lovely! We've been asking for font control (font, font size, color) and other normal email features for quite some time. Clearly sales and marketing emailing is not a priority with HubSpot.
This needs to be fixed! What's crazy is that Aptos is the stanard Hubspot font for tempaltes but you can't set Aptos as an email default font to match your Outlook email!?!
Would have thouhgt this is an obvious problem to fix for Hubspot.
It's very disapointing that we can't use the emailing function as it doesn't match out Outlook font. Wish I knew this before signing up. *Thumbs DOWN*
I don't see Aptos as an option for a HubSpot template - just the OLD standards. But even the fonts they provide don't hold as a default. HubSpot just doesn't care about our email communications, only how to track them; how time wasting and annoying!!
Please,,, this does not seem like a major upgrade. Would be very helpful to have emails and templates able to sync the font colors and sizes and types.
there should be a tick box on templates and snippets when creating that says using default fonts and sizes and is always ticked unless you decide you wnat it to be different for some reason- its really does look riduiculous!
Indeed, this is unacceptable. I just realized that our account defaults did not follow when we created templates and many emails written by my team did not look professional. We saw 1pt difference where we customized part of our email from a template. This should never happen.
