Sales Email Reporting

We really need better reporting for sales (one-to-one) emails. Even a basic how many emails were sent & by who, how many opens/clicks in a given span of time are not readily available.

By comparison, marketing email metrics and reports are much better, but still more limited than they should be.

Would be great if we could use this information as a trigger /  filter for active lists and workflows.

Yes, we also need it...

Especially as a filter for automated workflow or dynamic lists.

Big plus one to this ask. I was shocked to find out that something as basic as creating reports on the number emails opened, replied to, for bespoke outreach from sales reps does not already exist. The data is definitely tracked because the sales reps are using the HubSpot chrome extension when they send emails.

The functionality to report on this data is vital, and as has been mentioned before, it's already tracked and available in each contact's profile - I need to be able to report on how many 1:1 Sales Emails are sent vs opened vs clicks vs replies. This data is invaluable in this era of personalised selling.

@KarthikC there seems to be a new primary data source for sales emails. They've got basic analytics for sales  email opens and clicks.

This is vitally important. My team are very busy sending multiple email (though not always via a sequence) but I suspect that the reply rate is low as the quailitry fo the email copy mayt not be impactful enough. This report wouyld help me to identify which mteam members need the most support.

Hi all! We're working to get email rates into the Custom report builder. If you're interested in being an early tester, please send me a DM on here with your portal Id and I will follow up 🙂

It's astonishing that a CRM doesn't have this extremely basic metric - Sales Email Performance. Not only that, but it's such a tease when you already see all the logged email data at the contact level. So HubSpot essentially has the email opens/bounces/clicks/deliveries, etc. but for whatever reason they just cannot show them to you in a report. It's really crazy.

Love that this is being implemented! However, a big issue with the beta so far:

Email reply rates include any emails that your own sales people reply to. For example, when a rep replies to an initial email to follow-up, that event counts as an email reply. Hopefully this will get upvoted and brought to Dev attention.

Thank you for this great feedback @ZRoberts4 ! After investigating the concern you've shared, we can't alter that behavior right now. How emails are categorized has a lot of downstream impact on other HubSpot tools, so we can't change this quickly or without risk. But I am filling an issue on our backlog to fully scope out if we could do this as a long term improvement. An important clarification for anyone reading this: The situation described is only when another user replies to your email. Replying to your own email (such as in the case of Sequence emails threading together) will not count as a reply.

Hi all! I'm pleased to share we're in Beta with this in the Custom Report Builder for Professional & Enterprise portals. You can request access in the Product Updates section of your portal by searching for "Connected email analytics rates in Custom Report Builder".
