We have recently been experimenting with all the HubSpot tools and they seem to be working well for us, But a big issue we have found is the inability to use our custom domains we have added as the link for our Document tracking and attachments.
It would be extremely useful if we could change the domain from "app.hubspot.com".
When I create a quote in HubSpot, it is very easy to include a URL (for instance to our general terms page on our website) and RENAME that url to "our general terms" instead of https://eu1.hubs.yl/..... Our customers are reluctant to click on such a link because it doesn't look trustworthy.
Is it possible to use the same solution for this issue?
Can we please bring this back to the Table? It is a necessary request? Please, community members if you come across this thread and learn of the limitation, Please up vote (thumbs up) so that we can get HubSpot to make the changes to the system.
I would like to add my feedback that this should be an option - every single other part of the ecosystem can be whitelabeled, and this one thing where I need to send clients to a (from their perspective) random website to view a pdf feels like a big hurdle in the trust-building exercise.
The documents tool looks great! But as mentioned over 60x's above, this is all but useless - except for the HubSpot team, as that is the only company where it makes sense to use this with a matching domain 😄
Adding a very loud and clear upvote from this HS Partner and all the clients I represent. The Documents tool is an incredible feature BUT useless and illogical if it doesn't reflect our brands. We do NOT want to show HubSpot's brand here and I don't see how it benefits HS, either. Please consider adding the same ability we have to customize File URLs.
I purchased HubSpot Pro Suite through one of your Parnter Agencies. We have setup great systems that amplify our brand and build consistency and trust with our customers using HubSpot. So it is surprising and disappointing that this limitation to customize the URL on the Documents tool that makes it practically unusable since it uses the HubSpot brand which breaks consistency and trust. This hinders our use of the system that we invested in. Please add this to your updat pipeline.
I just received a request from a customer to have a branded document url. So I agree, why is it possible with all the other tools and not with sales documents?
Within the Marketing - Files and Templates - Files folder there is a Details button for each file, within this we can create a public URL which we connect to an external Domain.
Although within Sales - Documents we cannot do this. We use the Documents section to house our folders for communications with customers which can be added into emails via the documents header.
We are trying to have one source of truth within HubSpot for all of our files (parts profiles, manuals, flyers etc) as at this moment Marketing are adding in their files which links to the external domain but within Sales it cannot be done and we would prefer to do this from the Sales - Documents section.
@hubspot This idea has been open since 2018, how difficult can it be to implement, as you already have custom domains and tracking for marketing files?!! I am sure a lot of people are NOT USING the function exactly because of this issue, 5 years now and for 3 years not a single update, and so many people and partners are stressing this as a relevant feature!!!
Yes Please! We want to utilize the documents tool, but we're reluctant because of the brand confusion that it could create, or more likly the issue of fearful customers not wanting to click on a bogus link from someone posing as our company. I would love to see a solution to this problem that involved every enterprise customer having the option of registering and using a custom short url for things like document links.
Makes absolutely no sense that this feature isn't available when we can use custom domains for all our other content. I hope HubSpot looks into this again.
