Reuseable Template definitions for imports are a must have. I am horrible missing them in hubspot.
The reason is, that properties have the same names in contacts and company records. So defining a header row in excel is not sufficient to get a unique match.
We have to import files from our external sales agents on daily basis and i have always to make the correction of the object in hubspot (from contacts to company).
Please provide such a functionality to make life easier for users with a lot of imports.
Hi everyone! I'm a Program Manager on our CXM Team. I'm marking this as 'Idea Submitted' because some aspects of this request have been delivered, while others have not.
The 'Repeat a past import' option was released in Spring of 2023, along with improvements to how properties are mapped during the import to make them more accurate, which both solve for part of this request. However, other import templates aren't on the roadmap at this time, so I won't mark this as 'Delivered' since the releases solved for part of this ask.
If anything changes and this goes into development, I'll be sure to update you here. Thanks for your understanding!
We are currently working on the ability to save import templates to your portal that can be reused every time you go to conduct an import. In the meantime, we just launched the ability to "repeat an import." This will save your import configuration so you can simply upload a file, verify that it matches your previous import's settings, and complete the import.
